Resurrecting this thread for a good reason: I just got this guy today, and I've found a place to stash that loose panel in shuttle mode, and made the front landing gear *slightly* retractable.

Modding required, lots of cutting and shaving of the loose panel required. I'm going to finalize it and create a Radicons thread. Here's a peek:

So i'm late to the party after just adopting deaculpa's Chigurh. Is there any good flight stands for displaying him in shuttle mode?

Debating buying to Gewalt or wait until Ditka comes in through BBTS(heard most of the early issues were fixed with later reissues)

Anyone know which one is better?

The gun and rear train panel combine to form a make-shift flight stand.

Ditka is the more toon accurate version, but even with the improvements, he's still a bugger to stand up. The sheer weight of his top half makes him hard to balance and pose, plus the design of his arms is very restricting. Gewalt is more stylized in design, but is rock solid as a figure with a much better colour scheme that makes Ditka look dull and lifeless in comparison.

It's down to you, really: Do you want toon accuracy, or a more robust figure that's fun to mess with? As for Fanstoys version, don't get your hopes up. They do some damn good stuff, but when a figure has been teased for as long as this, I'm willing to bet there are some serious problems with it that won't be ironed out come release time.

Has anyone done a more g1 head upgrade for him? I think its the only thing keeping me off that purchase button

Or even a similar sized astrotrain head that could be used

So, I was planning on rotating Chigurh and Thomas out on my MP shelf, but now I've got Thomas in-hand, I just can't do it. Thomas is just better as an MP Astrotrain.

However, I still do like this guy. Whenever, I've upgraded a character figure before (which isn't that often, truth be told - this has only been the 7th time after Gears, Brawn, Brawl, Trailbreaker, Shockwave and Seaspray), I've had almost no hesitation selling the old figure. Chigurh, on the other hand... well, I still like him... so I'm wondering what other peoples thoughts are on him fitting in on an IDW Voyager scaled shelf. He's kind of got that over-detailed, greebly aesthetic which fits in there, and in that continuity he was often portrayed as mahoosive... but should he be the same size (at least height-wise) than MMC's Mors, which is my largest IDW inspired figure to date (excluding Sky Lynx)?

I say go for it, thats what I'm gonna do with mine. And hes not THAT big, he's significantly smaller than overlord. He actually fits best IMO with the combiner wars trilogy scale leaders.

I'm using mine with my Siege cons. We didn't see him enough in the show to negate any plausibility of using Chigurh so...
