    Fucking hell.

Hasbro cheaped out on Grimlock’s forearms.

    Him and Jazz.

I was hoping the 86 line would be different from the mainlines, and not have forearm gaps. They showed with HotRod they’re capable of using hinges to open the forearms to bring out the hands.

The least they could have done here was a hinged flap to cover these ugly gaps.

this trend of just flipping out the hands and leaving giant forearm gaps bother a lot more than thigh and other gaps as most and be filled in with third party filler kits.

these forearm gaps are the worst and ruin and otherwise perfect figure for me.

prices are increasing anyway, so why not just design better arm and hand transformations to help justify the prices. Can’t think of the last time a G1 Megatron figure hasn’t had these awful gaps. Earthrise Soundwave has no exuse to the forearm gaps given it has the large kibble UNDER his arms.

it’s just so incredibly cheap and lazy to keep falling back to this method of transformation.

I’d honestly rather just have the hands molded as part of the arms with no articulation than deal with these Gaps anymore.

They could have done the transformation in a way that hides the gaps, like FOC Grimlock.

Jazz seems worse though, but I agree Hot Rod is the level I was expecting the whole line.

    I'm still debating on Kup.
I really don't want Roddy, but I do want that matrix with the blue blaze.
    Gah, help

Hasbro makes sure there's no hollow spaces on any of the limbs, even the inside of the shoulders, despite Grimlock being a huge figure with every limb being enclosed, but they leave tiny holes for the fists to flip into and they "cheaped out."

Okay buddy, I guess you do you. :/

To the people that are anti 3rd party for stealing IP surely you should also be anti hastak for them dodging lawsuits whilst stealing IP from car companies? yes?

Also most 3rd party / KOs aren't exclusives so that makes them 100% better

"Guys we'd never get these toys, that you're not getting, without being exclusives, just enjoy us getting more figures, than you"

Are Runabout and Thrust showing up anywhere else for preorder other than Target. Why make them exclusives Ahhhhh. At least the SS86 figures are mass retail. Also lucky i already have the TR headmasters and am ok if I miss the micromasters.

I hope the line sells well and it gets an extension and we get all the Dinobots.

I also really want a Blitzwing to go with Astrotrain.

Plus I’d love to get the Insecticons as a box set.

also I’d like to get the other half of the 84 Minis. I’d like Brawn to go with Ironhide, Prowl, and Ratchet. And Windcharger to go with Wheeljack. Also Gears just to complete the original Ark crew. Like that’d be a dream come true for me.

Also Blaster, his cassettes, and Perceptor.

    What heroes! it's £50 that's the least I'd expect.
It's less about filling the holes, so to speak, there is a common system where you can slide a hand into a forearm.
That's the kind of basic feature you'd expect on a leader.
The whole flip in thing is fine for deluxe but we should expect more from the leader price point.

This also leads to some unsightly images in dino mode where you can see the damn hand on his feet.. even in one of their promo shots.

I really love how the SS86 toys are designed in such a way that they fit in pretty seamlessly with the WFC Trilogy figures. I cant wait to look back at 2019-2021 as three of the greatest years for Transformers figures for me

If the box says Voyager, hes a Voyager. These are price points, classes, not height or size classes,in the past, all Deluxe, Voyagers etc were roughly the same height and size, that is the past.

Really unfortunate that Grimlock is already sold out everywhere! He looks so good lol. All these figures look great!! Something tells me along the line they were meant for WFC Trilogy but were moved along. Something about the details on Grimlock and the portholes on their bodies.
poor scourge is alone in studio series while cyclonus and galvatron are in kingdom, lol

He's not sold out everywhere. These are mainline figures, they will be everywhere when they are released.

Can Hasbro PLEASE end their Target partnership already? Target cannot handle exclusives well as evidenced by GI Joes, NECA, and even previous TF's. I missed out on ordering the two Target exclusives and now I'm wondering how much of a PITA that's gonna be to get them? Ugh...

I suppose to non-car-enthusiasts, this alt form of Jazz actually looks like a Porsche. If it weren't painted remotely like Jazz, I wouldn't have guessed it was trying to mimic a late-70s 935 racer. It's just a very generic coupe with a big wing. But ok, whatever. It's a moot point regardless. The toy is what it is, paint job, numbers, and all.
