I've got the samurai one and Liokaiser, and they're pretty good sets! Slightly different plastic than LEGO, but nothing that feels like it'll break, and they can be a bit tighter to get together. The Samurai, "Computron", and the Military Combiner's components are all capable of transforming from vehicle to robot to limb with minimal-to-no parts-forming. Also, the samurai is the largest I think. I don't believe any of the others have individual robot modes for the limbs, if that's anything you might want to consider.

I just wishe I'd seen the listing before entire photo grids where snapped up! You snooze you loose I guess! :D
I spent some time throwing in some junkers I could see and also some junker I couldn't quite make out, just out of damn curiosity! LOL! I'll consider those as a nice surprise/booby prize depending on what they turn out to be! :p
I added some Combiner Wars to help with a custom idea and one of the 1 penny Kat Fire Chief OS KO's to bulk out my order.
Looking forward to @SirToys delivery! :D

Speaking of looking forward to deliveries...

@SirToys I have a shipment that hasn't shown any movement in 10 days now. I know the holiday was last week, but I'd have expected at least a scan to go through this week. I tried contacting you through the issues but have had no answer.

Hoping you can weigh in on it!

Yeah, same here. I missed a lot of stuff. Well, then I missed all the stuff since I had to abandon my cartload. I noticed this morning tht half of it had been picked up by someone else... maybe you! :D
Yeah, even if you recognize the figure, who knows what the problem is. For $1, I'm ready to take some risks, even just to get some spare heads for customs. But I wasn't ready to ship out a whole order. Meh.

I'll just wait for some more new items to be released. Hopefully the Hasbro crackdown isn't going to slow things down too much. I've heard that there's been some drama surrounding seizures of KO MP44 orders that were actually in transit!
    :wtf:

Mine came out of box, but still in their individual, factory sealed bags. Sirtoys might be able to do them in box, but if it's enough of a concern, you can also find the sets on Aliexpress, and buy them from the manufacturer.
City Robot - Shop Cheap City Robot from China City Robot Suppliers at Qman Official Store on Aliexpress.com

Speaking of, looks like they have a new team!

Looks like they might have a Multiforce thing going on, where each piece can for a shirt or pants and combine, and then all of them can combine into one big robot.

Can anyone think of a name for the Hound repaint? I was thinking something that was topical, connected to the issues relating to recent police brutality/racism without being obvious (just like "Barricade").

RAMPART because of Rampart. Plus it's another kind of defensive barrier too!

You think with ALL the bags Paul must buy for packing every individual toy, you'd think he's a drug dealer? LOL

I had the green version of that mold, and then replaced it with the blue because I liked it a lot more. It's a good piece. I've taken to rotating his head entirely backwards, which gives him more of a drone soldier / riot cop look (which is reminiscient of the Brocken Labor from Patlabor).

Might I suggest Crackdown? Mace? Truncheon?

Admittedly, Rampart is pretty good. The historical connotations are a nice touch.

Plus the Rampart Scandal is one of the inspirations for the TV series The Shield, and that John Goodman kind of build isn't so far off Vic Mackey/Michael Chiklis brick building of a man look!

The only one I know of is AOYI MECH BMB LS-18.
My copy had some kind of bizarre paint flaw on a lot of the silver, which really soured me to the figure.
That said, your mileage may vary- I see it gets fairly decent reviews online.

KO question for you guys regarding movie bots. I picked up the BMB Nitro Zeus and KBB Hound for customs and fell in love with them despite my complete hatred if the Bayverse bot designs. I have a BSL Lockdiwn on the way from SirToys ( hopefully, its going on 11 days now since that box budged)---what other movie bots might be worth my time considering I like the Hound, Nitro Zeus, and Lockdown because they DON'T look like piles of scrap metal?

    Any advice is appreciated!

I’m not much of a Bayverse fan either but I’ve found the Studio Series figures have made some of those ugly designs into really good toys. The improved KOs have made them even better. I don’t have many of the OS KOs though.

Of what I have, I would definitely recommend the OS Jetfire and TLK Megatron.

    Shipping sucks now :)

lol yeah sometimes I wonder if the bag store people think I'm buying them for that, but I think I did tell them once and they've seen what I bought at the toy shops next door.

Is that a custom or is it an actual repaint? Cause it’s dope either way! And how about blockade? Lol

As far as KOs go, I think those two are the top contenders in my list as well. I also like versions of TLK Megatron, because he looks like an awesome demon knight who doesn't seem like he transforms into a spaceship... but does anyway.

    • I've head that some of the other versions of Hound (the one from TLK) are also pretty good.
    • Obviously Helicopter Dropkick, but you already know all about him. :)
    • I've never delved into the 6 million Primes and Bumblebees that are out there
    • Didn't buy any of the AOE Dinobot KOs (though I hear they're often good as well).
    • Apparently the OSKO TLK Barricade isn't so hot. Cheap plastic, nothing special.
    • I don't like the look of most of the Constructicons, so I gave them a wide berth

Not necessarily KOs, but there are actually quite a few cool Bayformer-style designs in the various Hasbro lines that feel solid and are fun to handle. Often the toyline-only characters tend to have better designs because they aren't stuck imitating the onscreen CGI cheatfests. They have to be functional and eye-catching.

I'm rather fond of Skyhammer, Seaspray, Highbrow, Mindwipe, Longhaul, and Lugnut (and their assorted repaints)... if you ever have a chance to pick any of those up on the secondary market, they're quite fun. There are some good ones at the Deluxe scale too, but nothing to compare with beasts like KBB Hound or BMB Nitro. :D
