yeah it's interesting, I like both companies to death, but personally I've realized I want the best version that stays in the spirit of what an updated toy version of g1 would be, rather than what the cartoon would be. So for me I value interesting molding detail + paint (NA) over hidden hinges and smoothness (MST). But it's great to have the two options and I buy them both.

Sooo. this might be a weird question. but I need suggestions for Dinobots that scale in ALT mode with my legends (IF NA autobots). and by that I mean they should look like they came out of a still from Jurassic Park. I don't care how huge they turn out to be in bot mode compared to others. Should I look at deluxe class? I saw SS86 Grimlock leak and that looks tasty.

I use the ko of dx9 hulkie, which I think works pretty well as it squares off with mft huge dragon or leader class jetfire DSC_0160.JPG

Based on real heights of the dinosaurs and the alt modes of NewAge bots, your best option for scale is DX9 for Grimlock, Snarl, and Slag, with MFT for Sludge. Swoop can be either, since 'pterodactyl' isn't specific, and some pterosaurs got huge.

But then the colors won't match, so if you really want to do that scale you might consider getting the toon version of MFT Sludge and painting the gray plastic.

The deluxe scale Dinobots from POTP are about the same size as the MFT versions, but are closer to the G1 toys in look. Grimlock is also probably too big at that scale, since it's a voyager. The Studio Series version will be even bigger than that.

I think you might have confused ideas about how big real dinosaurs are. A triceratops isn’t much bigger than a van or jeep. Dx9 Grimlock isn’t too far off the size compared to a NA Datsun. Watch Jurassic park again, when it steps on the jeep, the size of the foot... it’s not Godzilla sized. If anything most of the Dx9 dinos are too big compared to NA/MS alts.

My Shattered Glass workshop buddies so far. I need to paint Nova's head and then Ramjet as Starscream. Got Soundwave, Ironhide and Omega Doom on the way. 20201017_154001.jpg

Just playing with a printed Megatron gun I made, I printed it in several sizes. The only figure I had with a 4mm grip was MFT Scourgers.

Oooh, what printer and slicing program do you use?
Also, I do small prints for free if you or anybody needs weapons or anything like that printed.

I had it printed by a company called JawsTech, printed online. It's made of Multi Jet Fusion Nylon.

Very cool!! I'm quickly turning into a 3D printing nut. I'm on my second printer but limited to printing with PLA.
