Id be leary...i got two copies of transistor from kfc and both have loose head flaps and a right arm that has a fold around bit that wont stay tabbed in properly

my issues with two copies were a very loose head flap and a right arm flap that doesnt stay tabbed in... are we lucky or is kfc not the company we need?

i got two copies of this figure both with issues i dont think its worth the money

I got the orange version with Fader and Hi-Fi today from TF Source. For a mold that is now several years old, I still really love the way it looks, even though I lean towards the cartoon MP's. No surprise, this one doesn't suffer from stiff joints anywhere. Probably the loosest MP I own, including KO's. The paint and colors on it are wonderful. This figure is a great balance, I think, between the toy, the cartoon, and the slightly older masterpiece aesthetic. Fader and Hi-Fi, well, they are what they are. I hope that MMC/Ocular Max will carry through with their versions of Eject, Rewind, Ramhorn, and Steeljaw. But for now, I guess these two will have to do, but I'm going to hold off on KFC's other cassette offerings for the time being. All in all, cool figure, and I'm happy with my purchase.

Personally I believe Rewind and Eject wear the mold way better than rumble and frenzy.
They also could have done a little better job with Ramhorn and steeljaw but they are ok for what they are. The surprising part is that their ratbat is superior to the official one in everything baring transformation and headsculpt.

Does anyone have a toy/Marvel head they don't want anymore that I could buy off them?

The power of Necro summons thee!

Grabbed this today. I really like it out of the box with a couple minor caveats. The shoulder rotation and thigh swivels are floptastic. His right shoulder can’t even support its own weight, much less the arm and his rifle.

The thigh swivels should be easy enough to sort out, but there’s no exposed screw in the shoulder joint to tighten. Has anybody else encountered this and fixed it? Once I tighten up those two pairs of joints, he’s near perfect out of the box.

This figure was always a bit of a QC lottery (to put it mildly)... still, every time I see this thread come up, it puts a smile on my face... this is the first transformer I ever bought... and it looks great AFAIC....

I saw there is a pre order for the pure red version on BBTS, but is a 2014 mold worth $150?

What do you hate so much about this figure? Do you even have it or just carrying in drama from other threads and current anger towards them
This is actually a decent figure especially for how old it is. I’m sure they can make it nicer with the newer engineering. I literally can say it’s the best mp blaster but that’s not fair ;)

I have it. Got it on sale a long time ago. It feels very light and cheap compared to what is being put out today. Also the joints on mine are weak now. I really want to see him redone to modern 3rd party standards. Blaster is an A player and deserves a better figure.

Some stuff of Keith's stuff I like. Like the Junkions, Simba and the Horrorcons.

Blaster could deifinitely use a more modern, toonier figure, buuut....Transistor still holds up well enough in a toon display that I'm not pining for a new one the same way I am for some other characters, like Cliffjumper, Perceptor, and the constructicons.

I feel it shouldn't be more than $90 shipped at this point.

Ah ok - ya it definitely has aged and equally never perfect for even when it was out. There's always the hope for Fan Toys - would be great if they can put out both Soundwave and Blaster close together so we can have more tapes too. I think it's still hopeful for quality of XTB/KFC stuff - for the most part quality of the figures are good despite the less than ideal pricing structure lately. Lord knows they've still come a long way from their old days of very poor quality and questionable engineering.

Just transformed my transistor back into bot mode for the first time in a while and some how his waist joint has become very loose(sure I remember it being tighter?), Must say I'll enjoy getting an updated version, this guy feels very dated now.

He's pretty good for what he is/was, which is to say, a boxy alt mode that transforms into a boxy robot. There's not a lot of heft, which is good and bad, and the panel flipping gets old quickly. But, the head sculpt holds up OK, and he has a nice presence in hand.

I'm feeling that there really isn't a big market for Blaster.
