Maybe in 100 years we will still be getting G1 styled figures but in the future, they'll be able to mass shift and shift proportions etc
They're there, just half the depth because every animation model cheated between modes. is it wrong of me to say I wanna see this? PM me to not derail the thread further but that's hilarious
I would think that they could have made the forearm just have the fender collapse into it and make up the actual outer part of the forearm, but again, parts count.
Am I the only crazy one that ordered 3 Scourge toys? I really hope Grimlock has straight yellow on his neck, like in the renders.
Studio Series costs the same as other generations lines Grindor is a live action movie character and was in one of the leaked listings a while back Looking at how much space he takes up in his leader sized box, I'd guess he's a head or two taller than ER Optimus. Definitely bigger than Voyager sized The Studio Series 86 figures are meant to stand alongside the Wfc figures. There won't be any crossover The wings can flip...
Copyright laws won't let you license the number 4, at least in the way this is used. That'd be pretty ridiculous. Who would own it? Porsche? The Martini Racing Team? Takara? C'mon, there's no logic in that argument at all. Had to laugh at your last sentence. Thanks for adding some authoritative leverage to the "debate", whoever you are. The wiki said so... ok...
Yeah, I got Blurr back then in Anime-export for $23. Good for those who still want a G1 accurate blurr but the Legends version is just good enough for me.
The first run of POTP Jazz figures have a painted sticker on the doors that some now fired employee snuck in the cybertronian letters that spell out "MAGA".
Im puzzled as well over who can license the number itself, but the Diaclone reference makes perfect sense to me. Hasbro referenced Diaclone in several various ways with new transformer toys in the last few years alone.
Fair thought I'd argue that yellow can most certainly look better than gold in a lot of cases. The Predacons stand out more nicely in their original yellow than in that reissue gold they got. If they make it a nice glossy yellow it'll look a lot less dull than the gold paint they used on stuff like the POTP Dinobots as well.
While I don't think the 4 is the exclusive issue to the copyright or license or whatever issue, it may be, I think it plays a part in distancing the toy from that racer. The blue and red strips, the spoiler, the white body, and the 4 are too similar to the car for them to be comfortable with. Change the number, remove some of the lines (like the read fender), change the shade of blue, little stuff like that to ease the lawsuits. Source: Dunno man, best guess.
Ha! I painted my MP10's nose and upper face blue-- and eyes yellow-- to match my '84 figure. It's what looks "right" to me. I liked those ER OP renders...
Would be nice to get some of the later titans return figures since some of them were really hard to get (wave 5)
