Amazon still has him. https://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Studio-Voyager-Scourge-Action/dp/B08KYFQ3WP?tag=transformers-20
Some deco, a slight change in the headmaster/head/faces, but that's about it. And funny how so many are jumping so fast so high for an April 2021 main line release.. especially with so much cancellation that's happened this year. "newitis" .. oy... it's nice to see these figures mentioned but aside the two I've already stated that have won me so far, I'm not jumping until I see them in hand properly.
A new live action movie is coming out in 2022, so I'm sure Studio Series is not done with live action, just don't get your hopes up for to much more Bayvers is all. Think more on the lines of the Bumblebee movie shift.
has the Galactic Odyssey set gone up yet on Amazon? With a full wave sitting in the Walmart due, I'd imagine it will get it's own reveal event.
On the topic of the new-old headmasters, It looks like they have better paint apps as well. I pray they dont up the price because of the g1 box gimick, lord knows the g1 reissues get grossly expensive. I know these arent reissues, but i hope they stay at $30 like a regular deluxe figure would, like the did when they came out the first time. I've been wanting the TT Headmasters to finish off my 'The Headmasters' display with Scorpo and Fort Max. Being able to get my hands on better painted, Japanese screen accurate headed versions locally is a dream come true for me. It was either that or hope to find the Takara releases at a collectors expo for a premium... you know... whenever those happen again. I think you're totally right, Grim just sorta transforms the same no matter what, (Unless its universe Grim and he's got Dinohead boots). He looks incredible, and if he's pushing the same size as like, studio series Bay-Grimlock and Blackout? Im sold. I was really hoping we saw some in hand images today at the panel so we could see the size of him, the hostage photos from a couple days ago made him look massive, i hope that wasn't just a camera angle or something. He looks super solid though. Also im happy wheelie isn't a transforming figure or a legends repack, having a him be more of an accessory/slug as opposed to an actual figure was a smart choice. If i want a wheelie ill buy the legends one, i dont wanna buy Grim and be stuck with $15 worth of toys i don't want.
Same. Surprisingly, I got my pre-order in for Target exc. Thrust and Runabout without having to rush to the checkout page this time.
So is Hot Rod a Voyager because of his accessories? He doesn't look that much bigger than the 3 Deluxe releases. Scourge however is much taller.
That's what I like - a fresh look for a character, but one that doesn't require me to squint or have to be told who it is. Preordered Runabout but there's no Thrust preorders here yet. Argh.
I don't know who's doing head design, but something went really wrong. The heads of Kup and Blurr look much better on the box-art. Somebody really wants transformers to have Smokescreen chins... First Megatron, then Cyclonus and now these two...
Yeah his accessories and engineering make up for the extra $10. Considering how somehow Kup, Blurr and Jazz aren’t doing it for me, it was money well spent.
yeah, I think I would do the same. Not a fan of Wheelie not seeming to have functional knees or elbows.
I appreciate they made this decision. Budget limitation is a fact and designers/engineers cannot fight for. Given this, shrinking the figure a bit to buy accessories is a good result.
