If I encounter the Headmasters in the wild I might pick up Mindwipe for this new deco. I really appreciate the vintage packaging.

Based on information from @Pixelmaster (who contrary to any earlier accusations from myself about him making BS claims, he has called everything 100% to date and I apologize for any rude remarks I made in the past in expressing my doubt), what we're getting now is essentially Kingdom and SS86 is kind of a combination of stuff from Kingdom that wouldn't benefit from being covered in 5mm holes for accessories as well as the Movie's 35th anniversary. More importantly, he also mentioned at one point Unicron Trilogy is potentially down the line as well.

Suffice to say I think we might finally be exiting this G1 emergency glut triggered when Hasbro's all-in manuver on TLK completely backfired on everybody.

    Probably the "Cybertronian Villains" subbrand.

Oh so more like Leadfoot where they'll have their own DPCI and an "Only at Target" sticker.

I love how some folks always default to the "one or two minor characters" argument when 1) Generations and Gen Selects has been dealing in the minor-est of the minor characters for years now and 2) one of the films' title villains doesn't yet have a Studio Series figure.

I am a little surprised at Headmasters. That wave 1 shelfwarmed a bit.

I wonder if they wanted to release the G1 toys, but maybe they found it was too expensive and opted for these instead?

I think the best think about this is knowing TR Wheelie still has a purpose. He was a bitch to get in stores

so jazz, hotrod, kup, blur, scourge, and grimlock are all buys for sure. i wonder how scourge will look with kingdom cyclonus. WFC figure seem to have a slightly updated aesthetic...kingdom cyclonus notably has detailing but less hyper detail that say siege and some other earthrise figures - like he was designed to be part of SS86 to begin with. i think it will be fine. totally gonna mix and match from these two lines. the headmasters are all POTP redecos with new headsculpts...i kinda love retro packaging but i think its cheapened a little by putting those modern toys in it. shoulda saved that treatment for hasbro issued masterpieces or something more special than some mainline releases. stilll they look good an i may pick up chromedome and brainstorm. oh and the target exclusive thrust and runabout are no brainers...gotta complete the sets.

That's on them, though. They're up to 70 releases now, they've had the opportunity to release the Fallen if they wanted to.

Are you talking about the movies or G1, since the latter has consistently been on shelves since Classics in 2006, a year before the films?

You’re right, the very original version of WFC 3 was Armada, that’s why Armada Convoy was shown off, Galaxy Upgrade Prime was made, and Hot Shot (as inaccurate as he was) was in GS. Hastak aren’t idiots, plans change all the time.
