i had a nightmarish interaction with a customer trying to bully my into letting him tear into some hot wheels shippers and i wanted to just make sure it wasn't someone in here.

 

Yet more evidence that Hot Wheels has the absolute worst collectors in the game! Even 25 years ago, when I worked in a toy department, some of those guys were unbelievable. I have no doubt they'd kidney-punch a conga line of old ladies for first crack at a case.

We Transformers collectors are downright genteel by comparison. Pinkies up and monocles in!

 

I concur, we Transformers collectors are sommeliers albeit connoisseurs of fine aged wine. Those afflicted by the Hot wheels bug are pitiable folk.

Seriously though I know collecting small plastic transforming robots can seem a bit odd but the Hot wheels people I will never understand

i understand part of why he got so riled up because there is a set of 4 cars exclusive to kroger and he hadn't found them yet and saw we had 2 unopened shippers. but when someone tells you no, don't waste 20 minutes trying to argue with them about it. if the dude had been calm and collected about it, i would've told him to come back on a certain day and i'd have 1 out right at opening, but he also decided to complain to our store assistant manager.
these people are why i never ask any employees if they have anything in the back. i just go in and if there's nothing on the shelf, it wasn't my day. only time i kicked up any dirt was mp soundwave because the tru staff admitted they didn't put them all out and they thought i was a scalper working with another person to get all of them. the dude i was with just happened to be a fellow member here and we weren't in cahoots. i was polite about it, but the employee who went and got me one was not happy he had to go grab it.

 

MP Soundwave was a pain in the butt to get. I was younger when it came out, I can’t remember if I was driving age or not. I don’t think I was because I’d have my parent take me every morning. We’d always get there and the same four people would be lined up and would go buy them out.

finally I got one and there was some lady who was in line for my little pony but when she saw what we were buying she scalped the rest of them up. I’m surprised over two weeks of trying every morning I was able to get one.

 

I had Walmart on 121st in Broomfield bust open their shipment of G1 Blaster today. They graciously obliged and put the stock on the floor. Heads up for anyone looking. About to cancel my preorder now. Haha

 

G1 Blaster has been on the shelves for weeks at Walmart on C470 and Bowles. Several Doublecrossers, Soundbarriers, Slitherfangs and Rungs at Target on Southwest Plaza.

It sucks that the only Earthrise deluxes showing up in the area are still wave 1 and we have Snapdragons everywhere warming shelves.

I just got Earthrise Blustreak at Walgreens on Ken Caryl and Simms. He is the only transformer figure on the shelf. 2 more still waiting to be bought.

Funny how I only needed to walk across the street and visit just one walgreens to get this and Ratchet made me drive like crazy across several locations.

 

I nabbed one from a Thornton Walgreens on Colorado Blvd. The other three stores in the same area (there's literally one every few blocks along that road) hadn't put them out yet. Keep checking, they should be relatively common soon.

 

The Walmart off Grant in Thornton has 1 SS Blitzwing and 3 Skipjacks. If you missed out on them, they also had 3 each of leader class SS DotM Megatron and RotF Jetfire.

 

Just got back from 5 Walgreens in Thornton. Found And bought the last Bluestreak at the 88th and Washington store. Struck out at the others but did grab Pop Scream symbiot, Arach-knight, and Mandalorian.

 

Got 1 left 1 Bluestreak at the Walgreens on 64th and Simms.
