By who, ShowZ? They will let you PO anything, even stuff that does not exist

 

When I started getting serious about collecting back in January, I never thought I would have a triple changer on the way. Especially my favourite one of them all.

I just got notification that he's waiting for me in my mailbox!!

 

Chinese sellers put up PO for figures that FT revealed, its still a PO

When I preordered tommy boy I said to myself that I’m done with this. $220 I knew I was getting ripped off but said fuck it cause it’s Astrotrain. I have since sold off my FT combiner bots except for Road King. I’m pretty sure that after I get MP Arcee I’m done here

 

It's a double Headmaster and also a Triple Changer. Talk about playability.

 

I have never thought about him being a triple changer, wow....

Sadly FT MP scale ones probably wont do well enough for them to make all 4 so there wont be a MP scale Trypticon

 

Most of the places I order (China, and US) if not paid within 14 days of getting the notices the order is skipped and passed to the next guy in line.

From my understanding the production for each is 5000 units and that number is what time they have allotted in the factory they book production in. They also have to schedule those times in advance. With all the figures they are producing they need to wait till a gap opens if they want to get a reissue in. That is how we got a shoehorned Koot reissue in there. They were able to squeeze a small run of him in during another production run. I know they want their own factory, but it was put on hold because of COVID. There was a posting about it in one of the threads back in March or April.

 

There were a lot of baseless rumors of them getting their own factory.

Even if they did 10k runs, it would not be worth it to operate their own factory. Large toy companies don't even OWN their own factories.

Toy companies focus on what they know...designing toys. The manufacturing experts take care of the manufacturing.

 

Yeah- imagine, if you will, an entire factory that makes ONLY niche small volume robot toys. Why anyone thinks this is a real thing is beyond me. This only works IF Fanstoys is manufacturing a bunch of other non niche products too...

 

wow thanks! so glad I won't have to pay too much for ft thomas. I can wait for the reissue

 

1- That reissue will most definitely be priced higher.

2- it will be so limited that getting one will be harder than getting the original release.

 

With the factory time they have to squeeze in between new releases it will definitely be even more limited

Trying to keep on top of my FT preorders bc if I miss any or payments then I'll be screwed if this happens again

 

Really sorry to hear that. I sound like an idiot but I'll always pay full price at pre-order if possible... less chance of something like this happening and sometimes I forget I've paid so it's like a gift in the post!

Yeah I'm all for this, even though I paid full resale price for mine and the insecticons. These things are too good not to be more accessible to MP collectors. I'm always surprised FT Omega isn't as scarce... I imagine with the costs involved in production and shipping and storage of the two massive boxes he would have been expensive, and oh what a figure that guy is.

Also I sometimes cave and let my kids play with them (BE CAREFUL!) so reissues would help me breathe easier...

 

You can get a few of the normal dinobots for around 200, saw a new grimlock for 251

 

Yeah, absolutely not.

 

Well I dont like the look of any of the MP dinobots, but its an alright price for an older figure. Sever too

 

Thomas is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. The possibility of this figure is why I started collecting masterpiece. It would be really cool if the inevitable reissue has purple wings.
