Yeah, I kind of wonder if that will be case too. Specifically the blue color. I wasn't expecting WFC Smokescreen to look as good as he did, but the actually colors were vastly better than the promo shots. Good to know. Thanks!
Even with what we see (ATM) Jazz is gonna be great along with your 84 collection. The RTS figure has served its time as "THE Jazz" of the classics era, now time for a new King to take its place. Hotrod looks really good. Wondering what a Wave 2 is gonna look like
Actually real talk for a minute. Can you imagine Hasbro expanding Selects into Studio Series and repainting some of these molds. Like I'd love to see an SG Hotrod and a Stepper from this Jazz mold.
They made Stepper from the PotP mold, so getting one from this one wouldn't be out of the question. Maybe with a real Targetmaster this time?
Uh.... tell that to the G1 Jazz toy I had as a kid... G1 Jazz most definitely had door wings. I was born in 1975. I had him. He had wings. The cartoon may not have, but the toy (original template for all future Jazzes) had wings. Again.... the cartoon isn’t the be all end all. The toys are the original source. The animation models are cleaned up for aesthetics, but in the end, he had door wings originally.
Well sadly since the Target masters are being...well I'll say shafted, might need to make a custom one (if you got the parts/characters/extras) that is...
So, uh..... I’m just gonna say it. Their vehicle modes are a little TOO cartoony. Like, robot mode is looking great! But car mode suddenly goes to “Transformers Animated” proportions. just kinda weird. I’m sure I’ll get over it. Still way cool figures
I mean, it's accurate to the character to have the roof of the car on his back. Backpaccurate It's an anime, alright. If you like anime you might enjoy it. If you don't.. good luck. Sky Byte and Scourge are the general highlights most fondly remember His toy did, and the toys had just as much an impact on the iconography as the cartoon. Jazz's wings are like Optimus's silver stripe in cab mode It isn't about need it's about getting the toys people want out there. There were a LOT of no-shows in the toy line or toys that generally did suffer, like the Constructicons or Bumblebee being taller than Prowl. Speak for yourself man, I'd love to support a UT Generations line Isn't the door translucent like the roof, and then painted white? Did I look at it wrong? 21 and in college, I'm right here waiting with ya man The clamoring for a new Skids is more relevant, I think. Huffer at least had lines and iconic scenes, like him towing Primes trailer. Helps to make your text blue with jokes, tone is hard to read I think they meant the official one. I can't wait for FH but that ain't the one Takara showed off.
I understand what you're trying to say, but for SS86, the cartoon is the be all end all. That's kind of the whole point.
I'm going to be blunt...That's a pretty piss poor Jazz figure for what should be a definitive fan based toy line like Studio Series. Sure, it's not the worst jazz figure in recent years, but I would at least expect it to be on par with the generations one that came out some years ago. Maybe if the feet didn't hang out the back like that I'd give it some slack, but honestly...That's just sad imo. I was only skimming by the comments about Devcon and seriously thought people were talking about this guy:
