That's good to know. The last MP i got from them was re-issue sun-streaker but that was at release not pre-order and he was at the cheapest price.

Amazon japan did not charge sales tax before for USA. now they do.

 

I don't know what some of y'all are saying about AJ showing full retail then drop to what everyone else in Japan is selling it for. I have PO 10 MPs from them and it always had the discount upfront like every Japanese retailer. Sure it drops a little here and there but never from full MSRP.

 

I don't mind that at all. The animation model and plenty of scenes from the show kinda look like the windscreen is sunk down behind the hood pretty much like that.


Helps his torso proportions. I think their bot mode is damn good for 3P but just a shame they ruined the alt mode.

More bluntly: fuck FT and their seriously overpriced, constantly delayed and damn near impossible to even find/get figures that have become JUST as riddled with QC issues as any of the official stuff.

To clarify: there are actually two complaints.
1. Most of us are bellyaching a bit about AMJP’s full retail price, while we all know that historically, they drop to near 30% off. We are just vocalizing our impatience. However, it usually doesn’t take nearly a week for the price to adjust, which is new. Under a COVID context, everything seems chaotic.

2. The other complaint is that for some of us ordering from the US, we are now charged sales tax depending on the State you’re in. This is completely new and deceptively hidden in the itemized total. People in California, Illinois for example got hit but Oregon didn’t since they don’t have a sales tax. That could add another $15 to $20 to MP52. That’ll stay even after the price drops.

Yeah when I had a big collection storing the boxes was a real struggle, maybe you could pile them high as a wall separating one room into two?  

 

You joke, but I think I have enough boxes to do that! My wife and I are both working from home these days, maybe I could use the boxes to turn our home office from one room into two..... Or make cubicles.....  

Back to MP-52, I have @chchchch 's amazing digibash of the three seekers together as my desktop background and it's making me very impatient to have all three actual figures on my desk! They look amazing together!

 

I can still remember the day I threw out all my pristine G1 boxes. It was moving day, 12 year old me was given just one cardboard box to hold all my toys. To make room I had to throw out perfect boxes and styrofoam trays of Optimus, Megatron, Soundwave, Prowl, Omega Supreme, and more. It was the saddest day of my childhood. I loved the box art even as a kid but I didn’t know how it would affect me until it was gone. I find it difficult to throw MP boxes away now.

 

Yeah, I kept my G1 Metroplex box forever cause it was huge and I’d just stare at the art on the back. I think someone musta sneakily thrown it out when I wasn’t paying attention at some point.

 

I placed a pre-order at Amazon Japan. Will cancel it if the price doesn't drop. I still have a gift card, which makes the price a bit better. AE is cheaper, but then I have to pay upfront, which I don't like. Choices...

 

Same here. I think it will but if it doesn’t I’d rather go with US sites for it.
