Now THAT is the Jazz I\'ve been waiting for!  Nice to see they went all out with Hot Rod, buzzsaw, two guns + blast effects, then articulated hands, matrix PLUS matrix effect!!!  This is my first experience with Studio Series - dynamite stuff so far!!!

The 4 was used on the real car, and I suspect if they had used it here they'd be too close to the official Martini branding.

So I just noticed these have a slayed release of February 1, just like the deluxes and voyagers of kingdom. My wallet is about to get ravaged in February, and maybe even earlier if Amazon still ships out early. Fuck...

I kind of wish Jazz at least had the option to have door wings, and just flip them down or something. I just think he looks cooler that way. Also does this one seem kind of hollow to anyone else? I guess he’s probably less hollow than POTP Jazz, but he still seems hollow.

I'm not an expert on licencing laws etc. but I wonder if they can get away with Jazz this time around because they are making a toy of a character from an old movie that they own. And that's just what Jazz happened to look like in it.
Yes, he was technically porsche, but there was no mention of a licence in the film back then so I'd assume it's fair game.
It's not a toy that turns into a replica porsche - it just looks like one.

Jazz looks really cool and clean, I'd be interested in handling his toy.

The hands have to fold in somewhere, I see a pin on the right wrist. Likely means he won't have wrist articulation, but can't have anything. Just don't break on me, and he's good.

So much for door wings being an \'option\' for Jazz. Based on where the hinges are I can\'t see that working well at all. Shame.

Jazz looks great. The only thing I hate about the Hot Rod is the fake ass car hood on his chest. They didnt need to do that. But the rest is all good.

I wonder if the SS deluxe price will increase too. This press release says they’re $20, but it also said the same thing for the Kingdom wave.

Man, I am so totally excited for this subeline.
Finally a Jazz that everyone been wanting and man that looks beautiful, Hasbro did a wonderful job with this and I want more.Hot Rod looks amazing as well even though those leaks spoiled the fun, but I am still going to get that Hot Rod as well and the rest.

Big fan of this new Jazz, and of course Hot Rod which we have seen pretty extensively at this point. The RTS deluxe Jazz has held up longer than pretty much all its other old Classics/Universe brethren beyond maybe Hound, and it will be difficult to replace. Having an option with no door wings and a super accurate alt mode is awesome as well, mega props to the design team.

Gonna chuck a big fat disagree on this one. Bumblebee being a tier above the rest of the live action films has nothing to do with adhering more to G1-esque designs, and thinking it does takes the spotlight away from the things that actually had a lot of effort put into them this time around, such as making strong characters (not action set pieces) and a memorable story in a fun setting.

To pretend that all was lacking from the live action movies was better more G1 bot designs is similarly short-sighted. I like the initial Cybertron scene of Bumblebee, but it is mostly a set piece and not the best part of the film beyond being the “G1 episode 1 on the big screen” spectacle we wanted but never saw in a decade of Bay films.

The 1986 film isn’t the best movie ever made, but it has memorable characters, colourful designs and voices, something that the G1 cartoon did as well. In that way playing to its strengths, it is a success. I don’t think too many Transformers fans would think seriously about TFTM in the wider scope of film/art criticism anyway, which is absolutely fine.

Why is it "not ready" ? what is this based on? I am 25 and can easily afford to buy these figures, even at Hasbro's silly prices. Do they really have to wait till we're nearing 40?

also the bayverse gets to have its own toyline and that only started in 07, it doesn't make sense, it's unfair, it's outrageous.

Most people aren't making two times what they were 10 years ago, but that's because of the trend in America of employers not paying their workers what they're worth, rather than inflation not being a factor.

I'm pretty sure 2022 will feature an Armada revival.

So we now have word that Jazz is 4.5" which, if my math is correct, puts Grimlock at about 7.8"

They all look nice, but I'll probably only bother to pre-order Jazz and the Dinobots. If I have any extra after all the new BW toys, the new Battle Convoy, Fans Hobby Naval Commander, etc, I'll look into the SS86 cast.

I'm def looking forward to the Fossilizers. New characters + new alt modes we haven't seen on shelves before + the playability of making my own weird creations. That's why I love toy robots.
