I still really like the look of the door wings on RTS Jazz...

But this Jazz does look really good...

 

Hopefully for everything else. Plus, I hope we still see some Bayverse stuff and we get an idea on when release is.

 

I forgot to ask, did Jazz always have #14 in the cartoon? The G1 toy was #4.

Yeah, nah, looks more to me like Earthrise Jazz dumped into the SS86 line with a raised price tag to account for that diorama.

That's been an ongoing thing with the numbered car bots. ER Wheeljack and Smokescreen have the same strangely altered racing numbers. I imagine it has something to do with licensing issues.

 

Jazz's gun has a peg on the side, but I don't see any ports on him. Is that a port on the top of the alt mode?

No, we know this was always designed for SS. Also, raised Price? these are gonna be the same price as always for a deluxe.

If you look at the hinge in vehicle mode it looks like they fold in at the middle, so doubtful

 

no, all ss86 figures (atleast for 2021) are wfc figures modified to fit into ss

This makes me sad. I really want a Blaster to fight with Soundwave.

Though with Blaster (and with him his Cassettes) and Perceptor possibly off the table I wonder who else will be in SS86? Between WFC and Wave 1 of SS86 most of the main characters introduced in the movie have been done haven't they? I think the only ones we haven't seen are Galvatron and Rodimus Prime (and isn't he in Kingdom?)

As for 84-85 characters doesn't that just leave the Insecticons, Blitzwing, the rest of the Dinobots, and any of the Minis (Brawn, Windcharger) who got to show up if only to die?

 

Finally, a G1 Jazz I can pick up at a reasonable price. Hasbro did him justice for this mold after that horrible PoTP one.
