Yeah....thats it. No theres NOTHING to stop 3p from using it. They already get away with blatant IP theft and of Hasbro hasnt stepped in on that, they wont care about 3p using airlock
3P can't use directly copywritten or trademarked assets. The AIR lock design may fall under similar categories as the badges. Don't be so snarky theres no need for it
They don't slap Autobot and Decepticon logos on their figures most of the time, do they? At least not the ones I see. The 3P's toe the line really close with this stuff, but they know they can only poke the Has-bear so much. See WeiJiang.
I don't mind changing gimmicks, but these gimmicks are bland. Earthrise isn't even heavily focused on Micromasters yet its theme is building bases for them. And the shields are bland things compared to the weapons, they don't look like much and they don't offer much. The Modulators are the same engineering as Weaponizers but without focusing on the line as a whole, only the micromasters again. It just feels smaller to me. Compare the plastic on Hoist to anyone in Siege, it's a huge step down. I'm seeing more reports of breakage in Earthrise than Siege, like Grapple and Smokescreen.

Are there any other reports of breaking or fragile parts on recent figures, besides these two?
Except he's right on every point from the modulators on. You just disagree because you have a hate boner for Siege. Because Americans are lazy. Source: am a lazy American.
Am I the only person who feels like comparing 3P to Hasbro/Takara is an unfair comparison? The thing is that 3P companies only have to worry about developing a small handful of figures per year , So more time/Resources are poured into each figure than Hastak: While Hasbro's designers are split up between 3 major transformers lines , So it's hard to focus on individual figures
No, you’re right. It’s a bit unfair because there are operational differences - as you’ve already highlighted.
I wonder what percentage of collectors have the money/space to display the same figure in both bot mode and alt mode? I think the limit being 2 instead of 1 is for them. I guess the limit should be 3 if it's a triple changer?
Anti-rant: I just transformed the Universe Datsun mold without the doors popping off. I thought that defied the laws of physics.
That was a struggle. When I first got the mold I was extra careful to not pop the doors off. And when it was done and I put him down, one of them fell off lol
Yeah, I don't think anyone likes this design, they also don't look particularly great in vehicle mode. Fun idea, execution really badly needed more consideration. The first one I got was the worst for that because it had TWO right windshield panels.
I prefer to think of it more as a badly written late-night drama that lacks the self-awareness to realize it's long since turned into a satirical farce of what it once was.
