Some of the character picks are also there because the alt modes looked horrid thanks to the effect/ 5mm ports or they didn’t fit in the overarching story of WFC
Pretty sure all these would have been in Kingdom originally, and it used to be all G1 until Warden or some other Hasbro bigwig forced the (still too early, IMHO - maybe do it in 2025 when it hits 30) Beast Wars hommage into the line. So all these planned toys had to be pushed into another toyline to make room for the BW ones. I mean, look at Cyclonus and Scrourge... they clearly were made for the same toyline. Unless you mean the Netflix cartoon, what overarching story? I know Hasbro likes to pretend there is one and the packaging tells it, but so far it has been negligible. Did you people all marry someone on the Hasbro team or what the hell? How are you all getting this info, and where were you just a year or two ago? Why are there suddenly so many leaks?
Commander Class Rodimus.... I don't care how many accessories they give him...it won't be worth full cost to me. Looks like I'll be doing what I normally do with the Leader Class figures then, and use points towards him to get his price down to an acceptable (to me) level before buying him.
Time to 86 your Prime Wars stuff, you mean. Also, not really a fan of them all being labeled "86." I loved the idea of Studio expanding to other corners of the franchise...but this turns it in to a gimmick.
It's the most logical and reasonable explanation I've been postulating for some time (not sure if I started that rumor but I definitely carried the ball down field). But it would be nice to have confirmation. There's speculation and then there's sourced confirmation, which would make it at least closer to the "fact" stage of things.

Finally a Grimlock with white t-rex arms, yay. Can't wait to see him in dino mode! And fuck, I really need to move to get more room for all this awesome stuff that they're releasing.
I think the play with the Dinobots is to wait for them to all be out and then wait for a Generations Selects box set of them all, maybe with more traditional coloring (gold over yellow?). Also, nice to see the numbering being all 86 so as not to conflict with the live action numbering
You people.... even after Hasbro has released the 100th Movie Bumblebee and Optimus and we have how many classics G1 style Optimuses as well, why doesn't anyone just say "well this will look nice next to my other Hot Rods?" Is there some unwritten rule you can only have ONE of a character? This Grimlock is cartoon accurate with the blue eyes, colorful legs and yellow chest. PotP Grimlock is toy accurate with the translucent part and metallic paint and red eyes. And as a bonus he is a combiner! I am sure gonna keep both. As well as TWW Titanium Grimlock, FoC Grimlock, Energon Grimlock and G1 and G2 Grimlock. The more the merrier.
maybe the next trilogy? Like with them going into 86 maybe the next trilogy will be a sequel to WFC as a Death and Return of Optimus Prime Arc and he’s revived as a Powermaster? the first arc is his death and either begins with or leads up to it and finishes up the 84-86 characters. The second arc is about Rodimus Prime and his time as leader and the aftermath of Optimus’s death. And the third arc is the resurrection of Optimus. In these two arcs they bring in the remaining 87-89 characters.
Idk about the Dinobots... like I’m probably gonna get some mad flak for this but I still really enjoy my combining ones and idk if I would replace them. But holy shit at the other figures I’m in loveeeee lol
I think space might be a concern for some people. Personally, I prefer to keep a smaller and focused collection. I only purchase figures that fit the theme of a shelf in my collection. Rarely do I keep multiple figures of the same character.
