Hmm, that G1 chest looks great, but the metallic look would be out of place with my other combiners, sadly. Think I'll try to hunt down an original kronos.

Damn shame they don't sell that chest piece separately.  

 

Only problem with the chest piece is that it’s color matched for the metallic version. That and they could have come with a better method for it to attach. Double sided tape fails after a while, but in the plus side it’s cheap to get more.

that's why I won't bother buy the Zeta toy 1st version anymore since this company will keep repainting ... nothing wrong with repaint, I just feel usually the 1st version is not the best version.

 

And of course Zeta and Moon Studio (related to 1-Studio?  ) aren't the same thing  

 

It might be quality wise though so its a gamble either way. No matter what company we talk about it, I've seen a few where the 1st version ends up having less issues than the second, even if its a straight up reissue. Even TW Constructor had its ups and downs for each color change.

I much prefer the original white version to the metallic grey version, having owned both. The white one pops so nicely, it's so bright and autobot-y. The metallic looks white in so many pictures but it really isn't white at all. The downside of the original release is the vehicles modes are not as nice. You have all those grey hinges instead of uniform color on the wings, etc.. Things like the windows on silverbolt are not painted yellow. It would be nice if they re-released the white version as a giftset with those added painted details, and the chest piece.. or with metallic paint but actually white instead of grey.

Or even better, a weathered painted set like this, not too over the top. Translucent seems like a waste of a release, who's buying that?

 

never understood the clear versions of characters that didn't cloak, phase shift or die, seems like a waste of money.
