That headsculpt does not work for him. He looks like he jammed a bunch of gum in his mouth, and is trying to hide it. 

 

while i do enjoy this design i do wish hasbro acknowledged barricade's orginal design although it was a micromaster i think that design would work as a cool deluxe

 

I like it   watching the Netflix series has made me itchy for more.

 

not bad i might buy it but if its like 30-38 bucks i might just cant wait for tf tuesday 

 

wish he had a more involved deco lifting some of the bayverse elements for the car and the purple windows from Siege.
(while I'm wishing a remold with a brush bar on the front would have been nice too)

 

Ug.... I was really wanting to finally get the Siege Barricade for the beautiful clear purple parts, but now I might just wait and get this since I passed on the P/CP figure...

 

I'm liking it and actually I really like that the deco is noticeably different from the Siege figure.
I've been thinking about how cool it'd be to have Nacelle done in roughly show colors (whatever those actually are) and FunPub/obscure Japan stock photo colors and Thrust wing tooling and seeing how different they'd look. This gives me a similar vibe looking at it.

 

This one gives me mixed feelings it would have been better if he had clear purple windows like Siege. The bling gun is pretty sweet though...

 

I suspect I'm in the minority, but I like it. As I said in an earlier comment, I still think it needs a few more gold highlights and paint details. But other than that I like the plastic colors and layout chosen. The face looks more gold than it did in the first set of images. And like the Siege version, I like that instead of boring old grey/silver they used pale purple for his shoulders, thighs, etc.

I feel like Reprolabels is going to have a field day with this guy.

This is really nice, much better than the siege one, totally getting it.



I know this has probably been said to absolute death at this point, but I still dislike that they made "G1" Barricade just a Datsun repaint. At the very least he needed a heavier retool to give him back some of his own identity. Just because he's the "bad cop" character doesn't mean he's just an evil Prowl clone.

Nah, the only cool thing about movie barricade was his paint job. Evil Prowl repaint is much cooler and what most people wanted from this. Otherwise G1 barricade is actually a blue race car. I was thinking you were referring to that, when you were talking about giving him back some of his own identity.

 

I like it, but he really is missing that purple windows

 

Less bayverse is a good thing. I think the mustang alt mode screams defining the character more than long arms or whatever.

 

Might be a good thing to people who can’t let go? But it’s just lazy.

 

Me: I'm going to focus my collecting on MP scale figures. I can't afford to collect in multiple sizes

Also me: there's new earthrise figures? Well I have to buy those!!
