this is not the color scheme from the box set. Is this from the upcoming rumored mass release ? Walmart release ? Hope so I like the color scheme better.
There's going to be a mass release of the Bailiff? Cool. I was thinking of buying a few more Allicons, but I'll wait for these guys instead so I can have a mix.
It certainly would be nice to get a broad release of the bailiff given how few could get the Pit of Judgment.
rumour in the walmart netflix line, makes sense and there is a listing for something that could turn out to be it, but nothing confirmed just a rumor that i hope too is true as these colors are more cartoon accurate
Just to clarify: there was a Walmart listings for a "Deluxe Quintesson" (I forget how much of Quintesson was spelled out...) in what we presume to be a wave 3 of Netflix deluxes that popped up the same time as wave 2, with Barricade, Clamp Down, Cheetor and Quintesson... So, the smart money was on that Quintesson either being a repaint of Allicon or the Bailiff, and with the bailiff being an exclusive with significant new tooling + that naming convention (Quintesson instead of Allicon), seemed likely he'd be the one. and this alternate color scheme tosses a couple more pieces of kindling on that particular fire. That said, I believe @Pixelmaster has implied some of that stuff may be in flux, and it looks like Barricade may be coming in Galactic Odyssey instead? Would they release him twice, maybe with different decos?? Is he being replaced in the Netflix line??? is Netflix wave 3 not happening???? ...so many questions
I can’t imagine that we wouldn’t get a regular release of the Bailiff and this reinforces my suspicions. No reason to leave money on the table when even those of us with the Pit want at least one or two more to go with him. I’m definitely in for two more myself.
Another great bit of concept art. Honestly I think the Bailiff is growing on me, at first I wasn't huge on how it's a repurposing of the Allicon but it looks so GOOD and is close enough to the original design.
You know, other than the purple hands, stripes on his shoulder spikes, and a few dark grey odds and ends, I dont see any major differences between this artwork and the figure we got. Because of the Netflix Quint rumor, people want to see a different deco here. But in reality, theyre just seeing the result of gang molding and paint app budget. It would have been nice to paint the hands metallic purple, but maybe Hasbro frlt that particular paint would be prone to chipping from the inside of the fists when removing his weapon. Granted, painted fists with the holes left unpainted has been pulled off many times so who knows ? What I would like to think is that they got the Quint Executioner coming and they shoehorned him into the Netflix line. I only say this because he was pictured in the artwork on the Pit of Judgement artwork. Hasbro has a tendency to only put actual toys in their artwork, unlike Takara who fills their mangas with characters that arent getting a figure. That could just be wishful thinking, but who knows. I dont think the Baliff variation of the mold is any more likely to see mass release than the Quint Prosecutor or Kranix. Another theory I have is that we could be getting an Alicon repaint in Takara's original pink mock up colors. I wouldnt mind having a couple of those.
