Transformers: Slipstream. Huh. That could be an idea.

Even ignoring economics, the kids you're talking about weren't there for G1, they didn't pay money to support Beast Wars, and they pretty much didn't know about TF until the Bayverse as the brand laid mostly dormant in mainstream media (hence revelry for the comics that kept it going during those gaps)... they can't possibly be the core fanbase if they weren't even alive yet. Of course, we get a new batch with every property, but we hit a tipping point long ago, and none of those "classic" properties were watered down like RiD or Rescue Bots. Even if I agreed with your view that we should like these childish shows, that's not the formula that made the brand what it is today nor does it give the fans we've collected over 35 years what they want.

You just keep saying the same thing without actually supporting your conclusions or doing anything to refute mine. Now you're putting words in my mouth, and making personal attacks. I think we are done here.

When I was a kid in the 80s, I did not feel like the toyline, cartoon or comics were dumbed down for little kids. Sure, it had goofy and ridiculous parts (it was the 80s after all), but even those “dumb” parts were treated seriously. The simpler toys aimed towards a young audience was kept in the main line, and not relegated away to its own kids line.

But Teen Titans Go doesn’t have a balance of comedy and action. The original Teen Titans show would better fit that description.

I guess Prime will be the last Transformers show I ever get to enjoy. Sad.
At least I'll have more garbage toy adverts on Netflix to look forward to.

Comedy? Ohboy. After the likes of Thundercats Roar, Teen Titans Go, Rise of the TMNT and Star Trek : Lower Decks... that is not something I am looking forward to.

I for one never liked Prime, it had some good elements but squandered them all the time and always did a 360 turn back to the status quo every time they had a chance to do something interesting. I much prefer Cyberverse and RID2015 to it.
Frankly, I wonder if there is a way to let Hasbro know we want a BR release of RID and Cyberverse, with extras? I have the DVDs and I have 1080p rips of both, but they are shows I would like to own in the best quality and officially.

If they did it like Grizzy and the Lemmings or the Angry Birds, having 5-minute quick shorts without dialogue, it would be hilarious. They should use the art style of the boxart, ideally, 2D. But knowing today's environment for toons it will be either CGI or (cheap) flash animated.

I hated those shows you mentioned, but... you ever watched Cyberverse or RID? Neither are comedy shows. They have some jokes and are more light-hearted, but then again so was G1 or 1987 TMNT.

Hmm I don't know that name,... googles.... ARGH! The She-Ra writer... Keep her away indeed.

If they do reboot the movies here's 2 thing I think they should do, Fire Truck Optimus Prime and Talking Bumblebee.

Comedy? Late Nigh Talk Show Space Ghost Coast to Coast style but with Waspinator as the host. Bring in bots from all eras of Transformers as guests. Have Waspinator reference ALL of his history, including as Thrust, and seem even more crazy than he was in the original Beast Wars cartoon. Have the guests seem anything from perturbed (Soundwave) to amused beyond all reasonable measure, (Runamuck/Runabout). It'd practically write itself.

Comedy is subjective. It really depends on what the production team does. It could be a mix of comedy and action for all we know. There’s too many unknown variables at the moment. I’m waiting until I have more info about this show before I form an opinion.

(As long as it isn’t a TTG/Thundercats Roar clone, I’m good.)

Far as I know, Hasbro doesn't own the rights to 2001 RID. You'd think at some point they'd try and repurchase them or do a cross-licensing deal to get it put out, but thus far nobody there has moved on it.

A lot of Fox Kids shows have come to complete series dvd. Like Godzilla. Big guy & rusty the boy robot. VR Troopers. Batman. Power Rangers. Transformers Beast Machines. That's just some of the Fox Kids shows that have full run dvd sets. I don't see why the 2001 RID can't get a set. Looks like it's ok to put out any Fox Kids show.
