I'd hazard a guess we are likely to see companies that directly KO Hasbro releases lying low for a little while until the heat dies down a bit (I'm guessing that Ultra Magnus was too far along when all this went down).

Hell, many of my standard eBay sellers aren't even doing 3P at the moment for fear of legal repercussions.

Oh, definitely. I have not seen the same knee-jerk reactions from Ali sellers at all.

 

My impression is that most sellers without a store on US soil and who don't do much business with official Hasbro products, don't really care what Hasbro thinks.

The services mentioned in that video seem to work with regular sites too, or there are similar ones that do anyway. After you've contacted and sorted things out with the middleman company, you then buy the product (or get them to, if you can't use Google Chrome to translate the page) and then use their address to send the product to. Then, they will send it to you later.

Theres a version 2 os feral rex by Jinbao on OhMyPrimus. Anyone know if the version 2 has any improvements over the original osko?

 

It has the upgrades either included or pre installed. From what I recall there are no material differences so it's still going to be unable to hold that sword up.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but is there any way to tell the difference between a Takara original and a KO Masterpiece MP-36 Megatron? That is, anything on the packaging; ie, a barcode number or id indent like was the case with encore Metroplex a few years back? Thanks in advance, MJC

 

On the packaging box:
-Original has/tak the cardboard lines are Vertical (when looking at megatron) while the KO the cardboard lines are horizontal.
-Original has a white outline on the middle gun barrel of the gun mode also noticeable on the closed fist... KO has not, but has a Black outline noticeable on the chest and left shoulder
-on the bottom of the box where all the legal stuff is, the original has the Batch number (above barcode) Stamped in, while the Ko has the number Cut in... or engraved kinda

It's a much better option. The KO POTP set is a far better combined mode. My Jinbao set is a pile of crap in just about every way

 

I honestly wish I waited. I just got the official version and got the DNA upgrade kit to go with it. The only thing you’ll be missing are the side blasters and the spine. Which I’ll admit, does as some bulk and stability to the figure. But I would have spent less than half the money really. Overall I do like the figure very much and don’t regret it too much. It’s probably the best figure that came out of POTPs.

Individual bots on the Jinbao/MMC predaking are miles better though. So it might be cool just to have it for that. Lol

 

See the box?

KO mp megatron box has visible lines from left to right... official has lines from top to bottom. Also, the figure itself has sprue marks around the red forearms, but isn't noticeable until deep inspection of figure... also, the eyebrows... might want to research more before you buy, but the KO is every bit as good as the higher priced official.

Box tells all, even if the figure is basically a high end knockoff discernable figure from the official.

 

Better than a brick with limbs isn't saying much. The proportions on Razorclaw, Headstrong and Tantrum are completely out of whack, especially the heads. Rampage and Divebomb are decent looking. All are a lot flimsier than JBs later offerings.

Also, the QC on my set is absolute shit. Several bots were missing pins and not one but two of them had two of the same hand. If I hadn't bought the set with the upgraded hand and other extras included, it would have been pretty bad.
