The inhibitor is a retcon, explaining why after everything the Dinobots never caused any severe damage.

The capes on Optimus and Megatron are from the period of peace prior to the G2 comic. They were seen in a popular piece of art from Japan in the early 90's.

Almost all Japanese Transformers media follows the G1 cartoon continuity, so that should come as no shock.

Yeah, the story confused me. The Dinobots are obviously being painted as the guy who is in the right, but the thing they're fighting for is antithetical to the ideals of both Autobots and Decepticons. And his big gotcha moment on Prime is that they're practically slaves to the Autobots, so they're in the right for fighting to prevent the liberation of the Selectors? He at least realizes that it doesn't have to be violent, but that really feels like it proves the opposite point Grimlock was supposed to be making.

Well, it's not so much they're fighting against the Selectors as much as they're fighting for humanity, ideals be damned.

So why is Superion using Armada Thrust as an arm?

It happened back in the Legends Broadside chapter.

Armada Thrust and Trickdiamond steal Broadside's Transtector in an attempt to 'take over the world' again, but Broadside and the Aerialbots stop him and Trickdiamond ditches him. Thrust is angry nobody recognizes his talents, but Broadside ends up talking him down because he feels Thrust can show them off in a more constructive manner. Broadside talks about how he used to help the Decepticons, which is a VERY vague reference of a scene in Season 3 where he's meeting with Cyclonus and how he got a second chance so he offers that to Thrust, and then he ends up joining the Aerialbots (of course they think he's a jerk).

Since that chapter he occasionally shows up with the Aerialbots, and in another chapter when the Micron Unicron appeared (just like the one at the end of Armada) and explained what it was to Optimus.

So yeah, he's effectively the 7th Aerialbot now.

Yeah I'd say the biggest problem about Grimlock's "slave" rant is it's really more akin to someone taking medication to control their violent impulses. Grimlocks' rights weren't taken away from him. Comparing it to "slavery" just undermines the people under actual slavery.

So basically...  Goddammit humans?  I mean Rung Grimlock\'s pointing out some hypocrisy on Prime\'s having a freaking kill switch in the Dinobots is a good point.  And clearly the Selectors shouldn\'t be treated as slaves, but equals.  But looks like the Quints are gonna mess everything up.  Man Spike I\'m thinking this is gonna bite you big time.

Also, Angelmoas energy and Unicron\'s about to get a massive new toy...  I think I see where this is going...

Ah neat. I think that’s close to having 10 total Aerialbots.

I don’t think that means he counts as an official Aerialbot. If he were, though, I think we are at 10. The original 5. CW Powerglide. CW Alpha Bravo. Universe Airazor. IDW Barrel Roll (who totally needs a toy).

Edit: just looked it up and apparently Barrel Roll has a Minicon as a stand in toy, and there’s a balloon from some little Marvel UK strip that has nothing to do with anything.. I still wouldn’t count that.

I'm still really feeling this comic story - it's probably the most interesting bit of TF fiction currently running.

Optimus installed a kill-switch in the Dinobots back when they were created so they couldn't attack him... but not the other Autobots?

    That shit is dark!

Yes! It's not just the same old warmed over retread we've been getting for years, I can detect actual effort!

Orthia was one of the the names for Artemis in SPARTA! (Kicks Megatron into a Well). I think it's fitting. Goes with Optimus being "Orion" Pax

I am aware of it being a Greek influence but it just isnt a good name when you have DEVASTATOR, BRUTICUS, SUPERION, COMPUTRON, DEFENSOR, PREDAKING, and RUINATION alongside to compare. Orthia just sounds like just googled a Greek or Latin name to give her and never questioned if it sounded cool for a giant robot. Hence my stance of calling her Grand Elita, Elita Infinite, or Elita Empress, so on.

Why not try some naming scheme based off of Orthia? Orthia Supreme? Orthia Infinite?

The orthian guardian? Mistress orthia? Elite Rouge? I dunno. Part of the problem is this is a gestalt which was famous first, and then made into a comniner. Arguabpy the other gestalts besides devy and raiden were made with the name in mind, the theme, and the team as a whole. Again, the rogue fembots were never considered as a combiner and as a result its harder to make a good name for her.

Because as I said and quote "Orthia just sounds like someone just googled a Greek or Latin female name to give her and never questioned if it sounded cool for a giant robot." Adding a prefix or suffix doesn't fix that issue. Elita Infinite/Empress, while not very creative, works because its in relation to the character that makes up the combiner and gets the idea across. Elita = Elite Female (Warrior).

Same thing with "Megascream". Hate the name because its uncreative (and I cant google it without getting tons of MegatronxStarscream yaoi). If Starscream was going to become more powerful to emphasize his rule you know what he would call himself? Star-Reign. As in A King's Reign. Or Star-Master. Star King. Why would he ever include part of Megatron's name and keep the "scream" part?
