Just got shipping confirmation on my order from Walmart.ca. Canada getting items shipped first and for slightly cheaper than US prices? This is a first.

 

Just got an e-mail that my .com preorder is delayed to 10/22.  

 

another fucking delay.... yet stores keep getting restocked. this goes beyond bullshit.

 

It's not going to ship on the 22nd either. They'll just keep up the charade until eventually "uh oh, Spaghetti-O! due to the economy..."

 

Yuuup! I finally called one of the three stores near me that shows inventory and someone busted the stock out of the back for me. I was lucky since they don’t always oblige. I canceled my preorder and saved on the shipping. Pretty annoying though. I’m not really into toy hunting during a pandemic and why I preordered to begin with.

 

They keep restocking this in MA hope you ppl in MA are checking lol

 

Glad I grabbed one this week after brickseek showed it in stock at a nearby Wal-Mart. I have no faith my pre-order would have ever come in (I canceled it after I got it in store).

 

I'm surprised this guy's cheaper than Soundwave even without cassettes. He also sold better than Soundwave, too.

Abington was closest to me. I show stock in Weymouth, Swansea, Plymouth, Raynham & North Attleboro for a start as of now in relation to me.

 

I've been to the Weymouth one a lot, but never anything on the shelf. Were they in Abington?

Found 3 about 45 mins away. The boxes were all f'd so only bought one. This was the best of the bunch by far, if you can believe it. Don't think I'm gonna cancel my preorder but worried about them showing up like this. Well, IF they show up, of course. Still it was pretty fun picking one up at the store.

My Walmart restocked a bunch of these but most of the boxes were pretty banged up.

 

It's kinda funny that my vintage Blaster is box is 35 years old and in waaaaayyyyy better condition than the brand new one I picked up yesterday.  

 

Did not look heavily for GI Joe. I have just 4 GI Joe likes - Snake Eyes, Scarlet, Destro & Baroness - have the originals with my G1's. They just never reignited a fire for me like these G1 reissues have. have some wonderful battle scenes tho as they rotated through the decades.

For Blaster the box is the first one to feel nearly of the same consistancy & production as the original G1's vs. all the others before it being a thicker style, more modern cardboard. My scissors cut it like it was cutting an original G1 for sure as I also collect heavily damaged boxes for tech spec panels. A few years ago I found a Canadian G1 in pieces that someone has previously cut up. What I could salvage cut the same & looks/felt the same as this 2020 Blaster box. Shame they did not do the same for Soundwave or Devastator...
