As much as I like both Armada and Micron Legend, I do think that both have some flaws when it comes to scripting; Armada suffers from seasoned VAs being given a rushed script to work with, while some of the voices in Micron Legends are kinda indistinguishable with some characters that sound the same; What I would prefer are the more distinct VAs from Armada paired up with the more competent/coherent script of Micron Legend.

I do still think both are still worth watching (At least just to get a full opinion on them) especially Micron Legend, and I do think it's a bit of a shame that more didn't give Micron Legend a fair chance without even watching it due to Armada's rushed dubbing.

 

I don't really like g1 Megatron in my opinion animated one is far better than him

 

Frank Welker's Galvatron is better than his Megatron.

Transformers shows ( aside from rescue bots) shouldn’t only pander to kids ( *cough rid15. *cough) or only adults ( *cough siege *cough)
I think the reason why prime, animated, and beast wars/machines are so beloved is because animated and beast wars were lighthearted but they still had mature themes and prime and beast machines were dark but they still had fun characters and had jokes. TF shows shouldn’t only be dark and edgy but it shouldn’t always be sunshine and rainbows

 

Agreed. I always liked Galvatron more than Megatron, and even in terms of Frank Welker's voice performance, the same holds true. I think the writing also helps him a lot in that regard.

 

I always found Thundercracker to be more worthy of becoming Galvatron's second as Cyclonus, instead of Skywarp or Bombshell.

See, pre-war sympathetic Megatron WORKS because it shows the irony of how he went from a revolutionary to an evil warlord and/or dictator, but it never works with post-war or during-war Megatron.

 

Oh, yes. During-war and post-war Megatron is just an irredeemable, raving lunatic who cares about nothing other than himself, so seeing writers trying to bring a sympathetic aspect that would only fit in a pre-war setting just annoys me.

Even beyond the color match I always thought the tidiest solution was Thundercracker to Scourge and Cyclonus to Skywarp, Thundercracker often had second thoughts about the Decepticon cause and wasn't really committed and Scourge betrays Galvatron a few times in the cartoon. Meanwhile Skywarp was just a loyalist thug which is true of Cyclonus as well.

Then the Insecticons became the Sweeps (and possibly Cyclonus' armada) because of their cloning powers.

 

Mostly due to how I first knew him: playing the WfC game, where he is patient and careful while Skywarp is, to put it kindly, slow. He simply struck me as more apt to be second in command.

 

Seeing as Megatron seems to be allowed to diverge from his OG design unlike Optimus, I think Super Megatron should be the basis for all new Megatrons rather than vanilla G1 Megatron, I mean just look at Animated Megatron, that design whips ass. Why? Because it's based on Super Megatron. Same with Autobot Megatron in MTMTE/Lost Light, even if you don't like the story that it comes from that is a *fire emoji* Megatron design.

 

And Super Megatron is close enough to G1 Megs. While we're at it, why not base all Optimi going forth on Star Convoy? Both close enough to their G1 counterpart to be recognizable while looking badass.
