The more exaggerated expressions tend to look a bit off, because they're meant to imitate a single 2D image. Once you introduce 3D contours into the mix, lighting starts to play more of a part in how the expression reads, and they can look a bit off outside of ideal conditions.

 

Just what is he doing to Megatron in that photo? Shippers are going to like that photo.

Incidentally the toy looks perfectly ripped straight from the cartoon which I personally consider that a great thing as I don’t like unnecessary detail that sometimes makes them look a bit blocky and I’m not at all bothered by the lack of waist swivel as it’s not exactly possible with that completely cartoon accurate body design anyway.

 

this one will be staying in the box the mouth looks a bit shit looks like he has been given a chelsea smile ( if you don't know what that is google it   ) .... lucky they have given us choices as there's actually only 2 of the sculpts i really like

 

I'm sure the final figure won't have stickers.

...but if it does, at least then I could orient the Decepticon symbols on the wings right-side-up.   I'm one of the non-purists who likes them that way, I'm afraid. Having them upside down in robot mode always looks so silly to me, screen-accuracy be damned.

Guessing you wont be transforming him then, Ill put metallic waterslides on him so he matches all my other decepticons

You mean because of the way stickers would wear during transformation, or because that orientation wouldn't look good in jet mode?

But yeah, if the other MP's are any indication, I will transform him exactly one time, haha, when I first open him and find him in vehicle mode. I'd love to have the chance to sit and really savor and absorb the transformations of these figures, but there's just never any time.

Haha, yeah, I've always felt they look fine in jet mode when they're right-side-up in robot mode. It's not like a jet really has a "correct" orientation when sitting vertically. Plus it looks like the pointy end of the 'Con symbols are aerodynamically pointing forward.  

I've still never transformed MP-36. It's on the list of things I want to do when I have some down time, but it never happens.

 

i'm betting most the grey will be unpainted

I doubt they would leave stuff unpainted since it wont look as toon without all the paint

That said, my two concerns :

The THIGHS ! What is going on ...they are weirdly thin and I really hope they make them wider ...what do people think the chances are that they change it a bit at this stage?

I really hope this is fully painted like recent TT releases. I’m sure it will but fingers crossed.

Can’t wait for this release although I wish these would drop around Xmas ! Wishful thinking.

Thundercracker needs to come with a mini Reflector. Preferably one that he can hold. Can't think of anything else for him.



A quick Google search brought up some possibilities for Skywarp, although I have no idea what episodes these were.




I'd love to see some official energon cubes that came with either or both. If I'm being greedy and unrealistic, I'd love Skyspy and a mine cart full of THE RUBY CRYSTALS OF BURMA.
