We’ve been waiting for over a decade since the 10th anniversary in 2006, I was in like second grade and I missed it, found out about beast wars after the first live action film came out and I’ve been waiting just about every year of my life since then.

 

SONAR? IS IT SONAR? IT BETTER BE SONAR.

Because I'm all for Transmetals 2 and Fuzors being represented as having non-freak forms.

 

Makes you wonder what everyone from Beast Wars would look like if they got reformatted.

 

I am really, really excited to see Burcham drawing interiors on a regular basis--always wanted to see more of his art, and I've loved the BW art he's posted frequently on his twitter.






And Erik Burnahm's done some good stuff with the Ghostbusters comic, so a whole new take on BW with this creative team that doesn't have to worry about conflicting with the cartoon? I am PUMPED.

But I'm curious to see how they make Beast Wars boring.

 

I love Burcham's art so I'm very happy to see him on interiors here. Hopefully they mix things up and it's not just the cartoon cast redoing the same story.

Neat. It looks like neither Tigatron nor Airazor will be featured according to the synopsis, which seems odd as I figured they would try to do a cross-promotion with Kingdom. I like to see IDW's take on new characters, though, but it's just going to want to make me a Nyx toy now.

 

I mean given that she resembles a lot of the original Bat Primal/Convobat toy I think that would be intentional which is clever. I wonder if this means we'll see a new Predacon that homages Gatortron to face off against her too? Would be cool if that was the case.

 

This might be the one TF comic I start reading, tried getting into the new IDW and it just droned on and on. Hopefully this one is more captivating.

Ooo, I'm up for this. Beast Wars was my jam and it's finally coming around.

And I hope they really have fun with it. G1 is lovely but the mood revolving around The War kinda ties it's hands. BW is mostly a scrappy team fighting a bunch a jerk criminals.

 

Please Please Please don’t let this be the art style for the entire run. It’s DOESNT work at all for the Beast Wars characters like it does the G1 characters. And I was looking forward to the comics.  

 

I hope Quackles appears in the comic.
