Painting Ratchet! Not done yet, but you can see the difference in the lower legs between painted and unpainted.

Yeah I'm actually surprised too. Ratchet is really a tough one. Out of all the original designs his vehicle mode kibble "crunches" down the most I think. So the studio series one actually has the best bot mode proportions, but a minuscule vehicle mode. I think the MPM tried to compromise so that both modes could be as good as possible, and the results are quite good still. That being said if a 3p head comes out that's a bit larger I'm jumping on that since I think it'll make the overall proportions of the bot mode look better and I think it could still transform OK.

Damn it...despite owning Ironhide and starscream as my first MPMs it may be this guy that becomes the true "gateway" drug into Mpm madness (it would have been thunder leader). Excellent work as always, looking forward to this! Also, what does everyone think of LT-02? The ankles are prone to breakage from what i hear.

 

I am waiting as well, not sure if it’ll happen but people are already selling him for less than retail so they’re anticipating it
