I will say in the interest of fairness - it’s not a bad price that. I was expecting north of £200 so I’m pleasantly surprised.... May take a gamble on a pre-order.

 

$265 on pulse is surprising, that’s not much more than an Amazon japan preorder. Guess Hasbro realized everyone was ignoring their inflated MP prices and ordering from overseas.

 

Theyll relatively line up once amj goes live again and hits their 30%. They should adjust ours automatically, if not I'll just cancel and reorder.

I find it absurd that they couldn't engineer in some waist swivel for this figure. But I will say that all of the pictures of it looks really good, so maybe waist swivel won't be missed. So I will probably pick this up at some point. I have MT Meteor and think it's pretty decent, but I never thought it was great so hopefully this Starscream V2 will easily surpass it.

 

It looks like a slight waist swivel, its not needed that badly anyway

I said it as a 9 year old in ‘84 and I’ll say it as a 44 year old today: Thundercracker rules.

 

For me I will always believe Thundercracker is just a mean af guy and Skywarp is the opposite of starscream with a power (I dont really remember what they were like in G1)

so is Amazon Japan going to end up more expensive than AE and the others? Pretty crazy they’re under $200.

I have all the MT seekers and I really like them, they will probably end up being a bit more poseable but this Starscream just looks so well crafted. Meteor has a waist swivel but it doesn’t look great it kind breaks the sculpt but gets the job done, I love how the ab crunch on MP 52 is so smooth and goes inside the crotch without looking like broken.

Also there’s just more life and interesting curves to the sculpt, it has more personality and cartoon accuracy. The hands being so much better, no big gap in the forearms and a better head coloured properly with tons of faces and play options.

I don’t know if I’ll replace all the MT seekers, but I’ll at least grab Starscream because he’s a top 3 character in the franchise and would be cool to have slightly different mould for him from the other seekers anyway. He’s not like 100% better than Meteor but I’d argue he’s worth the upgrade.

Between AmiAmi, AnimeExport, HLJ, etc, is there a consensus on which tends to have the lowest shipping to the US? Which one is the most reliable?

 

Ok Off topic: Squadrons seems pretty fun for the little time I played, just have to get used to the throttle and pitch (rotate???) beng on the same analog stick.
