Yeah but not a great Lockdown. The transformation is killer but posability sucks and the proportions/sculpt are all wrong. Sometimes I regret selling it but overall I'm hoping another company can do a better job with the design.

Anyone know a good acrylic for the yellow/green? The official color is good, butnits unpainted plastic and doesn't really shine the way it should.

 

I think I heared or readed the original colour is from House of Colours. By that i mean the colour on the real car.

 

90% accurate
7.5% for the shoulders/back (not much can be done with the back)
2.5% for missing paint/decals

Wish they added the red decals on the arms, it wouldn't have impacted vehicle mode at all and would break up a lot of the yellow color scheme

 

Oh, well I meant a paint that would be good to use for repainting the MPM. Like, is there a color/brand I should look for that closely matches the color of the real vehicle? I'm probably going to repaint the entire robot mode and maybe alt mode as well. This thing is just as unpainted as Starscream, just not as obvious because the plastic is yellow.

 

i think @erwinsims had the perfect colors on his voyager Ratchet. He got it directly from someone who for the movie

I will give mine a full respray to, the color is to bland.

You can do it yourself, it is quite easy.
I did use the paint on my Voyager Ratchet, it needs a white basecoat (i used grey and it is a little to dark)

 

I wish reprolabels cared about movieverse stuff. Anyways, I started painting mine. I don't really think much "needs" to be done, but what does need to be done is tricky because of all the crazy little folds and things on Ratchet's design. I still haven't finished the left leg or the hands/forearms (not to mention the lack of panel lining), but I'm already very happy with what I've done. Honestly all he needs IMO is gunmetal on the legs and silver on the face. I also filled in the roof area that should be black which actually helps the robot mode silhouette since black parts behind the head don't stick out as much. Thoughts so far? I'm not even gonna attempt to match the yellow, so I'm being very careful to not spill over (using my gundam marker eraser a lot!).

I find it strange that Emgo transformed Ratchet per the instructions that are obviously incorrect. He did show the proper transformation in the review but he made it sound like a fan mode or something.

I get it that he wants to do the review by following the official instructions, but when they are so obviously incorrect don't bother following them. Oh well! I have to wait until New Years to get my Ratchet from Japan so I'm stuck being an observer for now.
