Just one question. Will XTB ever produce the trailer for Gravestone? They could produce nothing else for the remainder of time and I honestly wouldn't mind. I just need that darned trailer.

XTB is still alive.

A few hours ago they replied to every comments on their last FB posting. As usual tryin' to pacify the masses that's all lol.

I still haven't been able to work out the real reason for the delay of the additional photos

 

Let's just HOPE that it'll be before the year ends. I wanna put this whole XTB combiner saga behind (prolly won't commit to any of their products in the foreseeable future).

 

Knowing the materials, that X-transbots are making their figures of, I guess the combiner mode turned out to be too weak to support its own weight. What is good enough for a carbot sized figure, may be not suitable for a 50cm robot mode.
Perhaps they are still tweaking the joints and experimenting with different materials and mass distribution, to deliver a good quality, and highly posable product.

Honestly, I'm dying to complete my set.
In my attempts to understand why it's taking so long, the only thing I can come up with is they could be trying to get box sets together at the same time, hence making lots of figures?

Dunno just spitballing to make the wait manageable

 

I'm in no hurry. XTB has shown us multiple pics so we know it's definitely in development. I'd rather sit back and wait to get a well-polished final product to create a sturdy, strong, and stable Menasor than get a rushed, unrefined, floppy combiner.

Anyway, I just read that a guy ordered Gravestone on 9/24 from a good AliExpress seller. His order was cancelled yesterday and the seller explained him that "XT'Bs production is idle at the moment"  

 

Just like Taobao and eBay sellers, AliExpress sellers aren't a particularly reliable source of information. This is how the "FansToys is shutting down" rumour started too. Even when there's some truth to the matter, it ends up spiralling out of control.

We know Gravestone has been out of stock for a bit (and I would have bought him sooner if I knew that was going to happen), so it's likely just that they haven't made more yet. I doubt they've been making nothing, though Keith's factory is probably busy churning out other stuff (likely PPE). Now if only they'd tell us they've been doing that, even in vague terms so they're not so easy to narrow down for the lawyers, that would help calm everyone down a bit.

The fact that ibot even told us it's still being tweaked is what has me worried, though. Most, if not all, of the combiner should have been finalised before they started mass-producing the first figure, or at least the last one. That we have the whole team but the combiner shell isn't finished yet is very worrying to me.

 

Their production seems to be going on though: we had the Andras reissue, the new Paeaen, their Trailbreaker should be next. I kinda gave up on the trailer (I like these guys in bot mode), but I get how frustrating this must be. Too be honest, I doubt that any of the 3p companies had a finalized design prior to the complete figure. I do absolutely agree that this is worrying, particularly in light of the, um, communication issues we've seen with XTB in the past.

BTW, on their facebook page they commented they hope to have all issues fixed, which means that the daelay is due to these issues.

 

I'm guessing here but when they revealed base mode pics they discovered more issues adding to whatever previous issues the trailer has, hence the silence and delay from XTB again.

 

Perhaps they should not have made the arm bots the heaviest of the 4 limbs?

Hopefully the next issue of Gravestone will correct the ab crunch joint. It's amazing that, after the still-ongoing debacle of Overheat's shoulders and front flap, that they let Gravestone go out with a design defect. I may still get him just to complete the Xtransbots Stunticons set, but my copy of Roadking arrived Wednesday and it's perfect. I guess I'm in for 2 sets, now.

 

I've pretty much given up any hope of something in the near future from XTB at this point. I have all 5 XTB stunticons but just bought the three FT stuticons on EBay as a plan B backup. Still waiting to replace the Apache I sold with Virtus, preorder Paen, and Dr. Egg as well.

 

Wonder will MP52 Starscream come out first or the trailer....I'm being serious.
