The hinge at the crotch that flips out with the combiner head was INSANELY tight. I moved it from the hinge as gently as possible, but as the hinge moved, the head stayed where it was. Just the smallest bit of pressure on the part seemed to be enough to break the tiny tabs holding the head to the neck. I haven't dared try to fold the head back in yet, so I can't see if there was a defect that caused the break.

I've had this guy for about a week and his joints are very weak.

Rippersnapper hole for hands/feet are too large so none of them fit. I had to use some plumber's tape to get it to fit and even then it's weak.

Sinnertwins combiner port with the ratchet doesn't even work. Mine might as well be a VERY loose ball joint. I could spin it like a helicopter with just a finger.

Hun-grrrs's knee joint is VERY weak. He tumbles and takes a "bow" at the slightest touch.

Overall I'm pretty disappointed with this one. I was hoping he would be like the Weijiang Defensor which was a nice solid model, but unfortunately the only thing he's good for is standing on a static pose and hopefully doesn't get bumped.

I'm new to collecting transformers (only ~2 months now but have ~100+ of the latest figures). I thought the Jinbao Feral Rex was as bad as it could get for stability but this guy is even worse.

This is a big disappointment for me, I thought their OS volcanicus was great, not perfect, but everything fitted in nicely on mine, even the ratchets are good. I'm also annoyed at the laziness of the black hands and feet.

I was going to get this, but definitely going to skip now

At least Jinbao had an excuse, Rex being their first OS release. Aoyi/BMB has no excuse for this lazy OS.

Agreed. OS dinobots were good. This guy is just horrible.

Not my video, but you can see in this link that the slightest touch causes this guy to completely bow over and this is in a standing position:

So I'm not sure who is all interested in purchasing upscaled upgrade parts for Abominus from fjschuler, but I found this video of a chest mod as a possible idea for having the chest plate easily attach in a way that would make the 3D print easier and less costly.
Let me know what you guys think.

For those with the hip ratchet problems on Aoyi abominus, try this:

This looks like it would work great. My Hun-grrr is due at my door next week - can't wait to get him all fixed up.

Would someone be kind enough to take a pic of abominus with KO OS legs? I just wanna see how disproportionate it looks

Nope, weapon ports are upscaled. You'll need to wrap some tape around 5mm pegs to make them fit.

I wonder how people manage to use Blot and Sinnertwin as legs. I suppose in case of Blot popping robot head off from ball joint should do the trick, but Sinnertwin... Shaving combiner part around that useless port for "prime armor"?

What I did for BMB's Volcanicus, I used krazy straws to thicken the PE pegs so that they will fit the OSKO ports. It should work the same with Abominus.

I was also thinking of getting the Abominus OSKO limbs and pairing them with the Hasbro Hung-grr for a more beefier Abominus.

Few loose thoughts/observations regarding "Raging Dragon":
    - it seems that ratchet fix is impossible to apply - looks like plastic these are made of is not very durable - I have put little piece of rubber into ratchet part and it seems that extra pressure made ratchet strip a little because it's now a little weaker than that on the other shoulder,
    - Abominus' head seems to be shaped differently, forehead bumps against chest piece (there's actually no clearance, the fact that chest piece is die cast doesn't help either), I guess that's how Beefkr10z damaged his figure, I figured out that rotating it 180* for storage helps a lot - it's easier to pull out of Hun-gurrr's belly and doesn't affect transformation into beast mode (on mine robot mode head doesn't fold into chest properly when Abominus' head is facing towards the top of the figure),
    - stickers are easy and fun to apply, I've managed to apply 2 out of 4 in the first attempt :) .

On my OS Grimlock, I didn't mess with the similar rachet teeth for fear of stripping it, so I doused the joints with clear gloss acrylic paint or Kiki, and that seemed to make it stronger, although you can't really hear the clicking of the ratchet no more.

Good tip, so the combined head goes in backwards for better clearance? Don't have the figure yet, but I was also wondering if turning the head for storage would solve the issue.

Someone noted a while back, that the head looks more like the TDW Upgrade head. That may be what’s causing all of these problems. It was never designed to fit, and clearance issues may be causing that breakage:/

Yeah, I'm totally gonna try that. Probably some floor polish though. I was somewhat successful fixing Selects Red Swoop and Cyberverse Deluxe Megatron that way, though hinge joints (like Swoop's knees) seem to be unfixable with floor polish. However, ball joints and mushroom swivels are fine now (not perfect but "will suffice"), except Megatron's head - it seems to be lost case, I've covered ball with two layers and ball socket with three and his head still is not good enough -holds pose, but very easy to move by gentle poking :)  .

I recommend turning head around even if you don't plan to combine them. Maybe it's just separate case, but it fixed two problems for me :) .

    Kiki's good for hinge joints.

Floor polish might be too thin. Acrylic paint will be thicker.

If the floor polish is not sticking to the ball joint, you can try using modelling sandpaper or a file and roughen up the ball joint, so that the surface is rough enough for the floor polish to stick to. People who paint model kits do that sometimes to get paint to stick as well, as some plastic surfaces are really smooth and doesn't hold paint well. I'm having this problem with my OS BMB power ranger coloured dinobots, as it doesn't work all the time, but at least it's worth a shot.
