Pretty disappointing. All I wanted was Luke and it’s not there. The selection just seems to be the stuff they always have in stock.

I'm going to hold out hope that they will put up the more exotic stuff later on.

Will not be surprised if they do not and this is all that is posted.

I love the Obi-Wan saber. It doesn't have much heft but I like that it isn't oversized like some of the others. Definitely an elegant weapon for a more civilized age.

Were any of the non-Rey/Kylo/Vader sabers available online before? I had assumed that the others are only being offered online due to Disneyland still being closed (Florida doesn't count, they seem to be hell bent on contracting COVID-19 en masse.)

I assumed his comment was talking about inventory at the parks. If not, then yeah it doesn't make sense since these have never been available online.

That's great to hear! I'm so looking forward to getting it. I bought a display thing from there as well to put it on display.

I mean I understood the gist of what he was saying too but at the same time you can't offer things for sale that you don't have in stock
Even then, Disneyland has been sitting on merch for six months now, if what was offered today was excess of what they do carry, makes sense to offer those first, especially since they appear to have sold out pretty fast.

I understand, but I also understand his disappointment.

I mean the longer the parks are closed, at limited capacity, the more offerings will probably be put up online, today was just the announced first day

Obviously I’m talking about what they have at the parks. They are often sold out of sabers but the ones they have online here are the ones that always seem to be available. Basically, the shit that doesn’t sell well or they have a ton of (Vader).

They may have been short on stock when the parks closed but they’ve had half a year to get this stuff in so it’s surprising that they didn’t have more to offer.

I don’t know about that. They’ve said this is temporary. That may change but these are items the never wanted to sell outside the parks at all. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are off the site before Halloween

They probably did want to keep things for sale in the parks but that all changed when the parks closed and merch piled up. I assume limited time means as long as the parks are closed, limited capacity, they need to generate revenue in the meantime.

I was the one giving you the benefit of the doubt. Considering that your post was questioned in the first place it indicates there was nothing "obvious" about it.

I was agreeing with your assessment, not being combative at all. It’s all in how the reader hears the voice of the text. You can pretty much always read anything I write in the voice of Tommy Chong.

It was obvious to me as there was nothing else I could be referring to. The legacy sabers have never been sold anywhere but the park until today. It is weird that anyone else questioned my meaning.

My bad. I think I'm always subconsciously on high alert for snarky replies.

^Believe me, I know it can be hard. Especially given that everyone seems to be at each other’s throats these days.

I hope you are right and I hope they keep this stuff for a while because the few times I’ve been to the park several things I wanted were unavailable. I’m just going off what they have said that it’s a limited time. They are definitely hurting but if it was just about getting those profits fast I feel like they would have had more stock today and a wider selection. This just seems like clearing out the stuff they have in excess. They had 6 months to get more stock so IDK.

Just recived my remnant from Electrum sabercraft. It is pretty neat the blue tooth synced app works pretty well with Apple stuff, but kinda crap with android.

The touch pad takes a little getting used to, and the hilt is surprisingly light especially compared to saberforge or the black series, but tge neopixle blade is crazy bright even compared to a tri-cre. Its so bright I cannot even get my camera to show the color of the blade, which is a vibrant acid yellow atm. 20201008_104700.jpg 20201008_104731.jpg 20201008_105232.jpg

one nice thing is they threw in a second sound font and a 7 inch blade due to delays from covid.

The only small mod is i swaped the retaining screw for a thumb screw.

Cal Kestis officially won the fan poll and will be released Fall 2021
Also over the weekend the Disney Parks Blog showed off glam shots of the Ahsoka sabers and a surprise announcement of Dooku legacy saber that is also being released sometime this fall

Awesome on the Dooku but not so much for the Cal.
