I find it hard to believe it'll be a one-and-done year though. So many avenues for, like, a non-headmaster Perceptor (as I believe there were talks of a ss86 blurr)?

 

Pretty sure pixelmaster said that ss86 is only for next year and won’t be continuing after.

 

2022 is when the next live action movie is supposedly coming so i expect those figures around that time.

RED Megatron's head is much closer to what I'm looking for. Something about ER just does not look right.

 

It is much closer than most people give it credit for. The only issue are the helmet brow pointing downward like the G2 design, and the eyes being the wrong shape and too far apart. The Siege one had the right helmet brow shape and the right parallelogram eye shape, but the chin wasn't broad enough, and the helmet itself was too wide and not tall enough, and he lacked the "unibrow" as well.

The eyes are the first thing people recognize in a face, so ultimately, that's why the Siege one wins most people over, despite the overall proportions of it being a bit more off.

 

Looking at it again, yeah the eyebrows are really the main issue here. Other than those, it actually looks good. Weird how one tiny detail makes the rest look worse.

Hm. Is there any, like, 3D software that can scan a smaller object? I want to base my upgraded version off the original.

Anyways, getting back on topic to this thread, DAMN these things look nice. Wanna bet on any exclusives for this line?

 

I'd add that the guyliner is too heavy, the lips too prominent, and the face too long overall. Something feels off about the helmet's base, but I can't put my finger on it.

That said, if they were to do it up in a clean metallic paintjob (as has been rumored) I would probably break and buy it.

 

I hope Kingdom Magnus looks good. I don't wanna turn my Siege one into a garbage truck only to figure out that Siege was the better option the whole time.

 

I haven't been following the spec thread in a while, has there been any word regarding Death Saurus/Star Saber/Thunderwing figures that people have been speculating about since the Power of the Primes fan vote? We've gotten practically all the other figures in that list except for these three.

 

Nope. Also we only really got two. Arcee and Hound got toys, sure, but whatever Evolution gimmick they may have had has yet to surface

 

That's true, we never really did get any evolution figures for Arcee and Hound - but I suspect that maybe they were just tossed in there with no intention of an evolution gimmick. I'm looking at the images from the vote, and looking at what we know now, I wonder if the Megatron there ended up being Super Megatron (since the art also has the red crest on his head as does the recently release SM toy). Shockwave having a power up would reflect his Siege super mode.

 

I don't think so, personally. I think, if anything, it would've been a Megatron -> Galvatron figure. The artwork of Primal is hardly reflective of the toy we got, after all
