Don’t use glue. You can pop the panel off her inner thigh and tighten the screw. If it’s a habitual problem, get Kiki’s Fix Loose Joints off of eBay.

Loctite 271 is a thread locker. It helps a keep a threaded bolt stay in place, but does not permanently bind metal together. I’ve used it on a few metal on metal ball joints in Bandai chogokin robot figures to good effect. Also used it to tighten a steel hinge joint in one of my wallets that has a billfold hinge that became loose. So I would not hesitate to use it on Nicee if or when the time comes.

Not exactly sure how to do that. Nor do I know which panel of the inner thigh you're referring to. Could you possibly send a reference image of which panel to pop off?

I'm having trouble with the car-mode. Every time I plug the shield in, the taillights refuse to sit flush with the legs. What could I be doing wrong?

That's no fun. I'd preordered mine on Ebay back at the end of October last year when it was expected to release in December that year. Until about a month or so ago, I kind of expected this was never coming. What made things really iffy was when I got an odd email that it had arrived and I needed to submit an additional $5 payment for shipping. Really odd, but after paying under $85 for it a year ago and it having mostly sold out and price jumped significantly since then, I just offered to submit the payment on Baba's own site to lock in a whole new Paypal transaction. Not the most normal scenario, but it was still much cheaper than ordering somewhere else.

As far as stock availability, I've heard a few people mention that retailers were only receiving partial orders so far and further stock would be staggered out a bit until all were fulfilled. Hopefully they're making steady progress and get them out in good time, especially after nearly a year in delays.

Nicee seems to be sold out at US sellers. Figure is really popular.

Kinda funny, really. I found that out about a month or two ago, when people were doing the usual social media grumbling about "Who would even want this?" - Turns out, just about anyone that can get their hands on one, and that's still AFTER they announced it wouldn't come with the G1-style head sculpt.

Seems like a fair many of those "I would never buy something like this" crowd almost couldn't, even if they wanted to.

Can't show it off on the figure, but I've got a very rough test print of an idea for a cover. It works, more or less, but I don't know if I'm going to continue working on this aspect. It required a lot of hand sanding once printed to get it fitting snug, and that's not a process I'd probably want to repeat every time. Looking into alternate solutions.

Also unrelated, but a fellow board member commissioned a custom one-off of MCC's version of Solus Prime.

What you have accomplished looks really great. I've had similar issues developing a chest plate. Don't feel bad. :)  Without the CAD for the chest, there are too many compound curves to try to match by eye to get a snug fit right off the printer. I have had to spend a great deal of time fine tuning with jewelers files and it just isn't worth my time to continue so I scrapped my project. If I had the CAD, I could just do a a model and boolean out the chest. POOF. perfect fit. I have considered scanning but my scanner just isn't high enough res and my local contact want several hundred dollars to scan the one part and I'd still have to do the clean up manually. I hate cleaning up scan data. Right now, just not worth it to me. Maybe down the line when I have other scanning projects and I can get a bulk discount.

Heads and faceplates are much easier at the moment. We have the CAD for the neck pin. So long as we match that, heads are all good. We also have the CAD for the Nicee and Arcee heads so making face plates to match is super easy. It is only a matter of time and trial and error before we can make other types replacement parts. Maybe a new front end, fenders and shield to make a completely different car... Just transplant mounting hardware... Maybe... Anyway...

I for one, appreciate all you have done and are doing and encourage you to continue. I would like to have time to contribute more than the little I have but I have other obligations that use up my spare time.

    Your Solus head looks fantastic.

Thanks for the kind words! If only they'd supply us with either piece that make up the chest, boolean-ing new parts would be so simple. Truly a shame we can't get our hands on them.

Did a bit more tweaking, going to be working with someone to try and cast a few of these. They'll be adjusting the final fit by hand, so hopefully we get somewhere. I'll keep you guys updated for those who are interested.

Looks fantastic. I do think the panel lines are a bit heavy but I tend to underestimate what is needed for small scale parts. I also have a preference for not embossing the faction logo and using a waterslide or sticker. I do like that the logo can catch the light but sometimes with 3rd party figures that are styalized or official figures that are diacolne redecos, I like to switch up the faction. Most of my diaclone MP car bots I have swapped them to be decipticons. Just some thoughts. :)

@GAUGE suggested to me, just making a whole new chest instead of just the swappable bust. I don't know why I didn't think of it as well but it would be so much easier to match the screw holes and part keys. Wouldn't even really need to match the part silhouette. Could make something completely different. Or, with a good photo of the part at the right focal length to flatten the perspective, use a a reference image and build the part silhouette from that. Again, just a thought.

I can try and get more photos of just the top portion of the chest again. both the front, side and the inside if you need me to. (I wish I could do more, but without photoshop or adobe animate I can't do much else atm)

No worries. It will be some time before I can get around to do anything with it. I think just making a whole new front ad rear chest is the best thing to do.

Yea I've discussed the idea with him as well. Personally I'm not that invested in that aspect of modifying this figure, so I'll bow out. If you end up tackling it, I'll keep an eye out for what you make.

Yeah, I'm not super priority for me either. I just wanted the original head :p  Maybe around the holidays I have a slight chance of having time to experiment more with a chest plate or replacement. As of now, it's on the back burner. Personally, aside for the head and maybe popping the pins to make the backpack removable, I like the figure as is.

REALLY, I just wish they would do an add on kit with the Arcee head, some more hands (I really would like a left sword hand and a right relaxed hand), a second pistol (for dual welding) and a collapsible (removable stock and barrel) rifle like Arcee had in the show. I'd buy that.

Gonna try to find me a BFG for 1 of my Nicee's to wield. I'm trying to put together a team of Nicee's, dubbed. "Team Deathscythe" :)
