No, this is just a Takara Selects release, no different than Star Convoy, King Poseidon, Super Megatron, God Neptune, or Volcanicus
UW-03 16200 yen five years ago. That’s about $152 USD just going by today’s conversion. US based shops were selling him for $159. Today, Volcanicus and Abominus are 22000 yen, which is about $207 USD. I think eBay prices on Defensor right now are around $250. So it’s not a HUGE savings.
I wonder if this and Volcanicus only exist because of the pandemic. They're both easy repaints to help boost profits.
Looking at this latest issue of the comic, whoever is writing this is clearly incompetent. The story doesn't even make any sense anymore.
Don't confuse more consistent/less random color blocking for less paint. The chances that this actually has less paint operations vs Hasbro product is very close to 0%. That's just how it works. That doesn't mean the Hasbro Terrocons looked bad - they didn't. They just didn't look as nice as this set for those of us who collected Unite Warriors. I don't want a nice showy Computron facing off against stickered and weaponless toy Abominus when I can have this.
Cutthroat is feeding Doublecrossers a lot of Pteraxodons who suddenly appeared out of nowhere, like he was some momma bird... this kinda ignores that Doublecrosser is a con and Pteraxodon is a Bot... And why was Spike helping Quintessons? He of all people should have known they are not trustworthy at all. And of course this would not be a Takara manga if it did not include femmebots in slimy situations. Blot, you perv! Keep it to your, erm... slime gun. Didn't this comic had Primus as golden G1 Rodimus before and he was evil? So now Rung is around but I guess he is not Primus here? Wasn't evil Violenjinger Super Megs cut in half a few issues ago? And where did all the rainbow Lantern Corps Bots and cons suddenly disappear to?
We need a translation of these comics!!! If there is one yet, idk this animo is cómic just looks like total nonsense but I wanna see a translation at least

Well it has Chinese and English Instructions inside the packet otherwise it's identical to anything POTP I've bought anywhere else.. Same for Rippersnapper and Elita-0ne I also bought all had an additional Chinese set of Instructions & is otherwise the same as stuff I got some place else like Toymasters. Hasbro Hong Kong stock possibly ?
The extra guns (including one for Abominus to actually use) as well as better hands and feet make this a serious slap in the face.
The extra gun is really similar to the Matrix Workshop one. Oh and much to my surprised delight - POTP Hungrrr makes a rather decent little base mode. I just need to add some Shockwave labs ramp to him and he's ready to go (nowhere) or to sit next to Trypticon at least and not look out of place doing so. It's kinda nice really as the other Torso tend to make nice base modes too.... Now I have to go have a play with Elita-One or Starscream see if I can get them looking like they are a Forerunner Building from Halo too.
He really didn't have much choice, humans have Autobots, Decepticons, and a giant chunk of their economy the Selectors all gunning for them, they need all the help they can get. Of course, this is the Quintessons we're talking about, so it can only end badly.
Prime and megatron in rainbow corp arc are from the past of the japanese g1 story. Golden primus is the oracle in our universe but primus in the old one. (a little iffy on that one mind you) The super megatron that got cut in half is the past galavatron and has no bear in the story being told right now because that story is a flashback/flash forward Lantern transformers have no bearing again because they aren't part of the actual g1 cartoon universe. Right now we're in a story being told by grimlock so its a flash back to grimlock, but he's telling the past prime in the story events he hasn't lived yet. Spike helping the quints is questionable, but he's facing an intense situation, his wife could be dying, and he literally helped make a group of oppressed slave robots who are now revolting. Rung currently has nothing to do with primus. He's a slave robot with most of the battle masters who are selectors in japanese media now. If he'll get some primus tie in who knows, but really IDW origin has no connection to this. The selectors don't have bot or con factions in this comics since they are made by humans. That is a toy only thing. Slitherfangs seem to be corrupted selectors. Pteraxodons don't seem to be selectors, what they are I don't know. I assume thats explained in this comic. Short version right now the story grimlock is telling seems to be the story why humans abandon Earth so we can set it up for BWII where earth (gaia) is abandoned because of the unicron energy in it.
