My paint is fine.

 

Mine have never had that problem. I don’t think it’s related to Europatorium. Just something a little unfortunate I guess.

Is there an oversized version available? I like the transformation on her a lot. Just wish the figure was a little bigger.

 

As far as we know, no. Ocular Max has very few KOs.

 

I think the greatest weakness to this figure is the ratchet joint on the hips so I took it apart and here's what I found.



The pin is not knurled on either side so it slides of with very little effort. I suggest tapping it out very gently as the plastic is the soft kind.

The ratchet is soft as well. Just a single tooth in that is molded into the plastic rather than having springs.

What I did was just sand the offending teeth on the pelvic joints. I left some of the teeth on the upper half for no real reason but at least it will ratchet on a super wide stance or side kick. Plus most importantly the teeth are there for the alt mode.

I was worried that the joint would be super loose but it isn't. It's just a simple friction joint and I understand why they went with ratchets because the legs have so much weight but in my opinion, not terribly necessary. I did treat it with floor polish anyway, and now it's good and sturdy.

Me too! I think if she were true MP scale she’d probably be the preferred Arcee in many collections.

 

she is "true" masterpiece scale... she scales with MP28 perfectly fine and he is for all accounts exactly the right size for a masterpiece collection as it's Takara who get to dictate the scale in their own line.

 

That’s a very vague term you’ve thrown to classify her scale. Since, in terms of matching to cartoon character height charts, she fits with the Hot Rod that has been made by Takara. So she is in scale with the Masterpieces.

 

...her robot mode is spot-on, but roadster's as tiny as a CHUG-deluxe, though..
