I would prefer if Hun-Gurr’s color was closer to dark purple rather than magenta. But it looks good regardless.
Sweet baby Jesus, that looks MILES BETTER that the bland, uninspired Hasbro Potp versions any day! BOUGHT. Skipped out on the Potp ones, so this is a no brainer for me. Awesome!
so I noticed that in these images the combiner ports on Sinnertwin and Rippersnapper are painted. I truly hope that Isn't the case on the final versions. youknow, because they are the friggin combiner ports... Going by the plastic color layouts, it looks like the figures are identical to their POTP releases just with different paint applications. which is a huge problem, because then on those two figures, the only way to achieve that color for their chests would be to paint them. I think we all understand why painting the godamn combiner port is literally the worst thing they can do, right? But these are most likely prototype images, so hopefully this wont be the case for the final release. God willing anyway.
I think what I like most is that having dedicated hands and feet that are matching colours.... Gonna be honest, I still think the HFG was better in the end as you didn't have two pegs and two holes being connected with the weight of 5 bots bearing down on it alone

Meh looks the same as the potp just with a different updated torso/hun grr They shouldve just made a hun grr pack instead of a whole new set
Meh I don’t really see the need to buy this when potp Abominus is on my shelf and if I was unsatisfied with it I could just easily order a upgrade kit this kinda seems blander than potp seeing how under painted the figures are I know “g1 accuracy” but could they have been at least painted Them more not to mention the price this might be when anyone can just order potp separate for 20 dollars honestly I just don’t see the reason to get more terrorcons I say this should’ve been monstructor instead.
And it's so funny, cuz stickers aside, PotP Abominus has one of the best integrated chestplates of any of the CW-style combiners. But no, they need to leave that grey so they can have the less pointy extra chestplate. It's so dumb. I get wanting this toy in cartoon colors, but honestly I'd be pretty pissed if that was what I wanted and this is what they're giving me.
They won't be painted. TakaraTomy did this a lot with Unite Warriors, where they had the combiner port a different color plastic than what it was likely gang molded to in order to achieve the color.they wanted (see Ghost Starscream). They even went so far as to sometimes color it two different colors, which Hasbro never did (Ratchet, Greejeeper, War Breakdown, etc.) .

Waaaaaait a minute, it looks like Hun-Gurrr has been retooled as well as redecoed. The first panel of the comic shows the underside of Hun-Gurrr, and astute eyes will notice Abominus' chest piece is missing. Closer inspection of the robot mode shows this to be the case where only the beast's front legs are visible. If Takara removed that piece, I wonder why they didn't just replace it with a retooled chest instead of a separate shield. Less partsforming, you know. Also, I really hope Abominus' antennae are as stiff as the photos suggest. The rubber ones on mine are bent all over the place.
