It wasn't mentioned in the listing. When you say it might not be final, do you think it is possible they will honour that price?

 

When did you preorder? If recently, it may be an ok price (I’m expecting the preorder in China to be something like 500/600 yuan 72/86 USD or less and street price some 800 yuan/115 USD, so 101 USD from a seller that uses Chinese prices as a basis (such as mascot) seems ok).

Maybe, it's just that it's awfully cheap given some of the price increase we have seen.

I think you know quite a bit about the market, but this thing being cheaper than the XTB one does not make sense somehow, unless FT really wants to stick it to them.

 

Oh, I don’t think it will be cheaper. Street price for Aegis in China seems to be 85-90 USD (well, at least when they have stock, which is not the case now), and street price for Outrider will probably be some 115 USD.

Retail price internationally for Outrider will probably be some 140-150 USD (which is the current, revised preorder in some stores at the moment), and this goes with the expectation of preorder (not street) prices in China being some 70s, because they are usually half the international retail price (this has been true for all the FT releases that I managed to track Chinese preorder and street prices). Current international prices for XTB Aegis seems to be between 120 and 130 USD, which will keep it cheaper (if my expectation of 140-150 for Outrider is true).

 

Yeah, I have a pre-order from Mascot for the XTB Hoist that's a bit lower than standard. I think he's taking advantage of all the mainstream retailers to the west having their prices getting TFSourced as a smaller seller. At least that's the hope, I guess I'll see whan it comes out if they honour the price

 

Not sure, I think he’s just asking for a fair price. Some other online stores that sells internationally also offers near-Chinese level prices, such as TFSExpress and TFDirect.

The real “problem” is that people from China selling on Ebay most of the time inflate their lrices to international prices, that’s why you cannot find it cheapeer there (some of those have stores that sell in China and when you go to their stores there, the same product costs half of ehat they are asking on Ebay  ).

 

Just checked in with Kapow given they are not carrying FT stuff going forward.

Their order for this is still in effect so if you've pre-ordered it with them back in the day it's still going to happen when FT get round to releasing it.

 

The answer to this is, apparently, almost 5 years. FOUR YEARS since a render was released, in order to stop you from buying a competitor product that was on the doorstep. And not to start shipping until next year. Remember this.

 

And one of those competitors has done a reissue, and a recolor, and one has gone MIA.

I mean, it has been clearly stated that this product is being redesigned, and retailers were instructed to remove their existing listings as it will be resolicited.

The product that was first shown 4 years ago has been effectively cancelled. We're not "waiting" for that product anymore.
