Did you guys have the $4/15 day shipping option when you ordered? I didn't.
Might have to give Baba's website or TerrysTFClub a try.

 

I did and that's the one I chose. It's been about 25 days since mine shipped.

 

So you paid the extra $4 to get yours within 15 days (about 2 weeks) after shipping and it's been almost a month now? Not good.
ShowZ shipping, even when you pay extra, has become a big dice roll at this point.

 

True I understand partially though that Covid has put a damper on things. The only reason it's frustrating is the fact that my package has been in the US a majority of that time. I have had plenty of other packages come through multiple facilities near me so I know none of them are having issues. It is really only Pitney Bowes that I am having issues with.

 

Same here. My Andras was assigned a shipping label on 9/13. Some weird shipping company I've never heard of...had to ask around to even get the name if the shipper and a tracking site because none of my standard apps would recognize it. Still no idea where it is except that it's apparently been in the US since 10/2, but no idea after that. I have two other orders placed 14 days later that arrived on Friday. Their shipping (and support on it) have become garbage.

 

Lol $4 shipping... I paid 40 and am still over a month of wait time. And I'm not even guaranteed to get exactly what I paid for.

 

Ha! I only wish there was a $4 15 day option on a combiner! I think the fast shipping option was just slightly over $100. In hindsight, might have been worth it.

Same here. I paid $4 for NA Coneheads and $6 for TE Mirage. What a waste of money.

Yeah, except that this issue is only happening for me with ShowZ. Not with Ali Express orders, not with Robotoybase, not with Bababobo, not with eBay...I can go on and on.

Considering shipping has been close to normal for other retailers I've been ordering from for a few months, that card's effectiveness has waned considerably when played.

 

My FT Brawn from Showz came in like two weeks (this is to Australia), but Beachcomber has been in limbo for over a month now with no updates. I think as you say it's just a dice roll, unless you are specifically using UPS/DHL/Fedex.

Any reason people in the states/Canada don't just use TFSource or one of those local guys? They don't seem that much more expensive, and they will obviously get their shipments in via courier so it would be faster. I assume they also have bigger sway over suppliers so would be one of the first to receive stock. Although being popular they would also run out of stock earlier too.

The only reason I buy from HK/China is that it's much cheaper shipping to Aus and I'm less likely to be charged duties.

 

Exactly my point I have had plenty of things delivered over the course of the last few months. Stuff from all over the country and through multiple retailers. The pandemic hasn't slowed shipping at all in my case. It's frustrating to see an item that you paid $100+ dollars for and on top of that paid for faster shipping just sit in a facility of some terrible shipping partner for weeks on end. If any of the facilities in my area were experiencing Covid issues I would understand, but they aren't. If it was sitting in customs for a month then even that wouldn't bother me as that is a necessary step.

 

If you don't mind me asking, did you pay extra for Beachcomber shipping? I just bought Dunerider and paid for the "express" shipping to Aus. Last couple of orders from @ShowZStore arrived within 2-3 weeks to Aus.

 

I've had TE Mirage FT brawn and Beachcomber arrive super fast...2 weeks or less. I think it said something like 30-40 days on average but it's been so long I actually don't remember exactly.

 

I've had a crapton of delays & issues with Ebay sellers, both China & domestic. So your experience of that it's only show.z isn't universal.

Well a lot of the US TF stores are OOS of what i'm looking for & TFSource...well their prices usually tend to be $30-50 higher than the HK shops & then if you're not careful they'll hike the price on ya. I was watching a Maketoys Visualizer from them for $149.99 last week & it went to $169.99 a couple days ago so i said forget it.

 

Except you can't blame the pandemic on this one. It's no excuse. Many other sellers from China are not having these shipping issues at this point. Just like many other customers, I'm only experiencing this with ShowZ. As the guys below said:

I may have to cancel my pending preorders and get them through other sellers.

And 2 months ago after numerous customer complaints ShowZ announced that they finally ended their partnership with Pitney Bowes. That only lasted for about 2 weeks and then they went right back to them. Frustrating.

 

Damn, just realized I had paid off a spare FT Thomas from this guy ... any idea if you can get a full refund if the item hasn't shipped yet??

 

Most US stores have anywhere from a 25-40% markup depending on the item. In general, what I save on one or two figures by buying direct from China pays for another figure.

I've also had many issues in the past of waiting 3-4 months after folks have gotten their orders from China, which takes a bit of fun out of it.

Plus, as @ShmoopsMcGoo said, the Chinese retailers just seem to have a better variety in stock.
