Yeah, what's funny is that all the Superion faces shown in this thread look like this toy's. The all have the kind of gaunt cheeks with a not terribly wide chin or jawline. The only big differences are that the figure shown here has those bits over the cheekbones and the chin cover is more below the chin. I suppose the cheek lines are a little smoother/softer, but I don't think making them harder would "fix" anything.

honestly, there is very little differentiation in faces in either Toon or marvel comics. “Helmets” vary widely, and masks/faceplates can be very different, but most of the faces are about the same overall: same eye shape and placement, same nose dimensions and placement, same month shape and placement. The only ones I can think of that were consistently distinctive were Bumblebee, Brawn, Gears, and Megatron.

so given how generic most of the faces were, I have no problem whatsoever with designers giving these sculpts some character, especially with figures that aren’t following a particular media model sheet.

 

Never owned a Silverbolt, so never knew what the original head looked like. I had a Slingshot and a Skydive but that's all. As such, like with pretty much every other character, I only know them from the TV show where Superion had no facial features to speak of beyond a bump that could be a nose.

 

Making the face more rigid and robotic would more than likely fix any qualms with it. The reason his face gives off a feminine vibe is exactly how dam human-like and soft it is.

individual... slingshot..but some hv it as a set too . my deposit was for 1... seen deposit 100-300rmb...maybe its a set deposit but will be coming out 1 by 1

Taobao "pre-order" are just place holders. Nothing has been officially announced as far as if this is a set or being sold/released individually.

 

they r being released individually... not as boxset.. but maybe seller is locking the pre order for 5 bots....

 

If you dislike the head I’m sure that someone will 3D print a new one if enough people want it

 

I don't do Taobao. Either way it takes a middleman or way too much translation work, I'll wait for somewhere I can just put it in my stack lol.

TBH I wouldn't be all that interested in a mostly grey/white superion. needs more color separation in there. But really cool his digi's are getting noticed by the company itself!

I'm hoping they add two blimp characters to the mix, to give the combined mode an even MORE feminine, Big Firebird vibe.  

 

Why is his face an issue to some folks on this thread? You know damn well you\'re gonna pick him up anyway. In addition the bitch\'n about the face is not up to you, its up to the engineer/ artist.
