Honestly, the fact that we already know that Darkwing and all his villains were in-universe fiction, there's plenty of reason for doubt to cast on whether or not this Bushroot is the real deal.
Not all his villains just some of them, we haven’t seen every villain on the old Darkwing show, and who’se to say like Drake Mallard the new villains don’t take some inspiration from the old show and name themselves after one of the baddies. I mean they are facing Darkwing Duck. So they might look up facts about him on the net and come up with the rogues gallery from the old tv show.
Yeah, right now it seems like a mix bag on whose fictional and who isn't. Seems like the more fantastical villains like 3/5th of the Fearsome Five are fictional characters, but the foes aligned with F.O.W.L. like Steelbeak or more practical ones like Taurus Bulba absolutely exist in the "real world", as well as oddities like Nega Duck. The show's also pretty different from what we knew. No Drake Mallard identity, no Gosalyn or Launchpad, and probably other differences. The only thing that really has me doubting about Bushroot is that screengrab of him in an earlier episode, but like I said before, the creative team could easily brush that aside if they choose to make him a real character. I guess we'll all find out soon once the episode airs.
Well the new Darkwing is Drake Mallard. Which is why the old show doesn't have that identity or Gosalyn. As for analogs of Old Villains, I wouldn't be surprised if they later have Negaduck be responsible for creating some, as likely he'd still be obsessed with his old show even if he considers himself the bad guy now. Also Launchpad and Drake are huge fans. So I wouldn't be surprised if there are others out there who think Drake is a poor replacement for the "Real" Darkwing and decide to take on villain personas to go after the fake. I could see a new Quackerjack going that route. It'd be like some one dressing up as the Joker to take on some guy dressing up like Batman and playing superhero in real life.
One way to explain Darkwing villains becoming real, is Negaduck recreating them, to form the Fearsome Five.
That or he kept tripping on them. lol Although the flying theory makes a lot more sense. He probably tied them there to save Gosslyn, Launchpad or both. jD001
I'm curious from the white coat if Taurus Bulba is a lab scientist in this continuity, maybe an associate of Gosalyn's scientist grandfather from the original universe, Professor Waddlemeyer. A scientist/bruiser/crime boss would be a heck of a overpowered combo, and be a good balance for having this universe's version of Steelbeak getting a massive mental downgrade. (Though maybe its the crime boss aspect that's left out this time).
Well what do you know. You really can have your cake and eat it too. I wonder if Liquidator will be updated to also talk in YouTube slang. "Click like and subscribe!"
