We have TT hongli/Daban who put out a deluxe class IDW Optimus and have prototypes for Prowl and his repaints.
Lemon tree has chug scaled Bumblebee movie toys coming.

Not sure. I was honestly under the impression this was The Age of Legends more than anything else.

There can be no return of CHUG until Fansproject and Maketoys come back. That was their gig, they are the OGs and . . . my favorite aesthetic
also, Perfect Effect did some good stuff that fit in perfectly

Put cartoon accuracy on the Altar of Sacrifice to resurrect stylized chug figures

I think you're a year or two early on this. Everyone knows Masterpiece is slowing down because we are almost through the G1 S1-S3 cast. For the last year, we have been going through the age of legends were lots of companies are popping up to make legends figures. Though I do think you are on to something. Companies do listen to the fans, and with the uptick in chug collectors (and now legends starting to slow down) I think a rebirth of Hastak Styled Chug figures is coming. Take Unique Toys Soundmixer (blaster), For years, rotted on places like BBTS cause no one wanted him. Now, in the last year, He is super hard to find as he is people's definitive Chug Blaster.

I am 100% in, I'll bring the knife and funny hoods.

I would love it if that were true. What I'm seeing are "small" figures, which is what I hate with the mainline. Except some feel even smaller, just this side of legends+. I would love to see deluxe carbots in the neighborhood of 14cm, with larger figures scaling up from that. Anything shorter and I'm not going to care.

Seriously, this. Give these guys both size and flare. I'm missing that.

The new 86' Studio Series looks to be pretty high quality, especially that Hot Rod. I could see some third parties swoop in and start making figures at that scale to fill out the ranks.

CHUG never left it just slowed down.

We are seeing a lot more MP scaled CHUG though which unfortunately is no good for me.
I want to see more MMC/MT/FP/PE/Hasbro scaled CHUG figures.

Don't the lemon tree actually fit MP scale because of how much smaller Bumblebee movie bots are compared to Bay movie bots?

I would note that CHUG is not only a scale (largely tied to that era of mainline) but also a design style: G1 inspired for sure, but frequently modernized alt-modes and tweaked robot modes, with all the modern engineering of the day.
Just like the first classics prime was not the same type of truck, nor sideswipe the same type of lambo, etc. Some, it not all of it was licensing, but the result was a "refreshed" take on G1

earthrise is MUCH more slavish to the original. Cleaner than the CHUG era for sure, but the scale is in the ball park (generally smaller, just look at ER datsuns vs chug datsuns)

Yeah, I wish someone would do a toy styled Blast-Off and a proper Afterburner.
