Would love a Depth Charge. Was always my favorite. I havent bought any of the masterpiece BW but would spend the bucks for him.

Scorpions are fucking awesome! Quickstrike and Scorponok are among some of my favorite BW designs  

 

I was gonna say, I love Quickstrike and he's easily one of my favorite characters in the show, I'd love an MP of him.

 

I think Airazor will be an interesting release. She's almost as "impossible" as Terrorsaur is, but she doesn't have the popularity. If we were to get her early it'd be a nice indicator that they were committing to the entire season 1 cast at least. Especially if they don't half ass it. Like here's the least likely character for you all to get, and we went big with the engineering on it too.

 

With Tigatron coming in a week or so, I got it at a steal from Amiami, I want to think that a Pink Needlenose will be coming next!

 

So from another thread I just had an idea:

Does Inferno need more than one faceplate? If they included a single faceplate that could open and close it's mouth, like with Dinobot, would that not cover all of Inferno's expressions?

Unlike Dinobot, or other characters, he didn't really have a large variety of expressions. He didn't really smile or frown. His mouth was either open or closed. His mouth moved very "muppet-like", where basically his jaw moved very stiffly.

If you can close his mouth for "Neutral" and then open it for "crazed", I feel like that covers 98% of scenes of his.

I would actually be interested in going through the episodes and seeing if he has more expressions than I remember, but that's kind of the impression I have of him.

 

Yes, his mouth was very puppet-like, but his eyes/brows were the ones going crazy, if I recall correctly. Maybe they should do interchangeable eye sections and leave the mouth as is? Although knowing TT they’d still do full alternate faceplates anyway.

 

So what if instead of intechangeable face, we had something like MP dinobot in raptor mode has, where the eyes could change. If you had an opening and closing mouth with changing eyes, I think that would work great.

 

True, although I think you could work in only two eyebrow expressions that way. Ideally, he should have standard eyes, intimidating eyes and surprised eyes (think of when he was killed alongside Quickstrike by his Queen with the Nemesis).

 

I want multiple face plates. Otherwise you’ve just got a South Park Canadian.

There are plenty of minor manipulations to his eyes, brow and upper lip section to create different expressions.

 

Anyone think TT jumps to season 2 without finishing 1? Would like 1 to be completed but wouldn't mind a TT MP TM Megatron sooner rather than later.

 

Quick Question: Does anyone know the latest on MP-34 being re-released at BBTS? I see it says October.

I didn’t hate Quickstrike but he was easily the blandest character in that he was just a typical mook. If he didn’t have the cowboy speech pattern there’s be nothing to him. (Reminds me of how Aaron Archer I think once said the Cybertron characters were given accents because their personalities were so bland, so it gave kids something to emulate in play)

Anything is possible, but...

Where the western world got season 2 and 3 immediately after season 1, in Japan these seasons were released several years later and were renamed BW Metals. At that time, Japan had already released BW2 and BW neo, and, frankly put, the interest in Beast based Transformers had waned considerably. As a result, the BW Metals toyline sold poorly (and likely the cartoon wasn't popular). It was exactly the poor sales of BW Metals that pushed Takara to move away from beast altmodes and to create Car Robots (where only a few of the bad guys had beast altmodes).

I think they will do BW2 and BW neo before going Metals since in Japan there will be more nostalgia for those two series. And if they do Metals, it will likely just be Megatron and Primal. But I think the chances are small.

 

Even Neo wasn't terribly popular. I don't expect more than a MP Big Convoy from that series.

 

Got my hopes up that there could have been some news to come out of Wonder Festival but I don’t think TT had any involvement there.
Winter Wonderfest seems to be the one for Beast Wars reveals so we may be waiting till February 2021 for the next announcement- followed by the obligatory minimum of 7 months more wait time till release. Happy 25th anniversary...
Are there any other possibilities beyond Figure King Magazine that could get the next announcement out any sooner?
