I have separate go-to characters depending on who I'm playing with. When I was attending tournaments, I dual mained Joker and Inkling. But when I'm with friends or playing casually, I typically go Ness or Hero. For such a large and diverse roster, there's only like 5-6 characters I really have fun playing as.

Holy cow!

This was the character whom I always imagined would be added to the roster but never thought would be added in for reals. My hype levels are through the roof!

 

Meh. At least it wasn't Jonesy from Fortnite like some people were saying on Twitter. I can live with this character.

A lot of Geno fans are pretty pissed off, though.

That character choice draws a massive 'meh' from me, though I am a bit curious how they'll handle the reach on that weapon

 

Sephiroth was quite a surprise. Never cared much for him, but he was one I could just feel the hype for when he was revealed. Not to mention this means we can finally have more than two FF songs

Though now I'm expecting Geno's costume to return and deconfirm him....and Sora to get the Mii Costume treatment as well

Only gonna do a few because the rest I'm pretty satisfied with their song selection

Sorry for the double post, but, while I'm aware that Ken and Richter are in the game as well, Sephiroth marks the first instance of a 3rd party series to get another unique character. Opening up the possibilities for more to come in future games, with the likes of Tails, Chun Li, Zero, Raiden, etc.,

 

Honestly, now that Sephiroth managed to make it in smash, i'm kinda hoping Dr. Eggman/Robotnik would make it in smash, likely due to him being a interesting choice to go with. Like the options he could have as a fighter is surprisingly there.

 

If we were to have another villain character from any franchise... I would choose: M. Bison and Shadow (who is more of an anti-hero.) I couldn't think of a villain from the existing franchise's cause their either all here, the franchise isn't in Smash, or the game doesn't need them. I will thank Ultimate for adding tons of villains to the franchise, because Smash was kinda lacking in that department.
