The Bumblebee Prime has become my all-time favorite live-action design, and there are quite a few choices out there, each with their own pros and cons. I've been looking at reviews, and there are plenty, but none of them really does a good job of comparing between the ones I want.

I was hoping maybe the folks here can help me narrow it down.

    1. Aoyi Mech LS-13 - This one appears to be the cheapest. I heard there are some issues with the shoulders, but nothing removing or loosening a few screws can't fix. Okay paint job, but nowhere near as detailed as the others I'm looking at.

    2. WeiJiang M09 Fire Scorpion - A little more expensive. The figure appears to have loose joints at the legs. Seems like something I can fix by tightening a few screws. Lots of paint chipping on the thigh area. WeiJiang is dead, so might be hard to replace parts if needed.

    3. Toyworld Freedom Leader - The most expensive. Looks wise I like this the best. I've seen complaints about the chest being loose, but I also saw an easy fix on youtube that only requires folding a few panels differently during transformation. One panel also might require filing down to slot in. Also a dead company.

I would love to hear from people who own these, maybe even all of these, give me some thoughts to help me decide.

If you have the money, Freedom Leader (Deluxe, not Standard) is hands down THE Masterpiece BB Prime. Aoyi Mech is, like you said, the cheapest in appearance. WeiJiang's has paint rubbing, loose joints, etc, but they can all be fixed with work on your end.

Honestly it just depends on your preference and how much work you want to put into the figure once you get it.

Despite it's flaws, I still think freedom leaders is the best of them all, provided that you don't rush through the transformation process. Avoid the standard edition at all cost though.

I would personally just say go for the one you like the best visually which in this case seems to be TW. If you can afford It I would guess that would be your best bet as you seem to like it. WJ has some issues that’s iffy.

    Thank you.

Wasn't Toyworld also in some legal troubles, and that's why Freedom Leader feels rushed?

Yeah, I discovered this while browsing this forum. I might just wait and see for a while longer.

Kinda. They werent paying their designers. Zeta ended up with everything they designed. I dont think that applies, here, at all.

This thread’s title made me excited to see something a bit different and then disappointed me when I realized what it was really asking. :(

Why's that? I thought the Deluxe was exactly the same but with some worthless extra's...

Apparently The Deluxe had better quality control than the regular and your less likely to have issues with loose parts or breakage.

I'd say the current options are ok at best, but if you really do love this design, I'd recommend you just wait for either TransCraft or Toy Lab's options to come out.

The new one on the left has the same torso as LS-13 but with the standard legs.

.. and no moveable fingers. .. and non-articulated smokestacks.

Oooomph! That price. That is waaaay out of my budget. Even the default Freedom Leader is already pushing it. The price actually makes the Freedom Leader the least attractive of the bunch.

Yeah, that's gonna be my plan for now after reading through the forums a bit. I rather wait and see. That way I can compare and don't have to worry about buyer's remorse.

In fact if you ask me, its all down to which scale you are looking at.

If you want ThreeZero scale, you can get TW to go with TMT BBB

If you want MPM scale, currently there's no one yet until TC announce theirs

Just avoiding anything ToyWorld makes. Despite their fanboys here, the last time they made anything with half-decent quality control that was worth buying was a long time ago. Everyone goes on about Constructor, for example, but most releases are overpriced and have QC issues, especially these days, and unless you're living in the US or have some other local retailer who'll happily sort out full replacements with you (because ToyWorld is completely useless at replacing parts now), it's not even worth the gamble.
