Same here, I picked these up since FT are ridiculousy expensive. I'm pretty happy with them, the bug modes are nice. I had the MMC versions before this and wasn't happy with the bug modes so these ones work great.

 

I looked at reviews and don't like mmc version.
So i went with badcube.

 

I think this Bombshell is the best since it has both a grey chest and purple bug head, but I think the FT Shrapnel and Kickback look better.

I think the FT and MMC versions look cooler but this set is more toon. I just wish they were "made of sterner stuff". Still, once my MMC set arrives I'll have my own little plague consisting of MMC, FT, BC, and FP Causality.

 

I love that they are toon accurate. Whole reason I got them. FT would be the only contender for me, but at the prices the FT versions are going for, Bad Cube hits the target with no regrets for me!

 

Contemplating putting my boxed set up for sale even though I don't have the FT ones to replace them with. Hmmm.  

 

I have both MMC and Badcube. Right now I'm displaying MMC Shrapnel & Kickback in robot mode. I feel like Badcube are just a little stumpy in robot mode, I like MMC as they are slimmer. I'm using BC for the bug modes as I think they look way better than MMC.

I'm keeping BC Bombshell in robot mode since it has the grey chest. MMC bug mode for Bombshell looks alright.

 

Personally I like them. Though I cant figure what the heck I am doing wrong with the Bombshells bug mode...

They are great value for money and very decent representations in both modes. Way cleaner than the competition too.

And yeah, it's a very underrated release. I use them as an altmode set alongside my FT and am very happy with them.

 

Are these getting reissued? I keep seeing the set popping up on eBay.

I bought the most recent batch of the MMC set, and it is riddled with problems. Bombshells leg broke immediately, kickbacks wings broke immediately, and his knees won't lock into place. I'm waiting on replacement parts, and am debating just asking for a refund and switching to these.

Seems I cant align the legs of Bombshell right when they collapse inside in bugmode, causing the chest pieces and everything else that tries to peg in to the front of the bug to be unable to reach the pegs.

Maybe you didn't fold the knees forward properly. Top joint is straight, middle and bottom fold 90º.

 

Anyone have any of the Collector's version Insecticons for sale or know where I could find then right now? Really looking for Shrapnel and Bombshell.

Thats what I get from posting from the phone. When I ckecked at his knees from upside down, it seems that one is bent and the other straight (going from memory here). I couldnt tab the legs together with both of them straight....Dunno if thats a problem. Or if it is what I did wrong.

 

I think it's best if you bend one leg and put it in place to get the groin/calf tab in, then repeat with the second leg. I think I didn't get the groin connection the first time (LOL) and everything was a little wonky.

 

I like these guys. That said, and I've said this before, they don't seem like MP quality to me. They're more like CHUG Insecticons.
