Fierce attack is always one of my favorite 3rd party Onslaught in truck mode ,misses just much bigger missiles to be perfect .In bot mode "Brawl"and "Blast Off"are my favorite of Warbotron set,and transforming them was rather easy .I have the original set for some weeks, not Jin Bao and they stand very well.
Fierce Attack is little menacing in bot mode also for his face, but combiner is a beast ,and this is important.

Is the original still worth getting? I have a chance at one for the same price as the jinbao ko. Should I just get the OS set?

I've got both, (OS is used for over sized so this might get a bit confusing lol) The Jinbao OS KO is great and fixes some of the issues the original had tolerance wise, it's also a lot bigger and is made of equally good plastic. You can/could get the accessory kits for both which I have too. It really comes down to what size do you want?

Normally i try to keep it chug scale. I just love the look of the guy and he's been on my list. I don't think there's any added value in it being an original warbotron. All things being wall equal the ko is better?

IMO, if you can get the original for the same price as the Jinbao OS, I feel you should go for it.

I got the Jinbao OS, and while its size is impressive to look at, I find it hard to handle and mess with at 18". Plus I have Gravity Builder at 15", and I much prefer that size, in terms of both individual bot and combined mode. The OS individual bots are just way too big too, for my taste. I'm also not a fan of the glossy plastic of the OS. Not counting the size, I feel the original looks way better.

In the end, I caved and got the Wukong 1:1 KO, which cost more than Jinbao OS. But at least I enjoy the size more, it scales better with what I have, and it comes with 6 extra Gundam guns and accessories. :lol

While it's true that Jinbao OS has better tolerances overall, mine has weak hips and ankles, and still collapses from time to time, even after I tried to tighten them. So YMMV.

The arm ratchets are very strong though. That's one of the thing Jinbao fixed, cos the original had weak arm ratchets.

TLDR - If you value looks and scale, get the original, since it's the same price.

Which accessory kit are you referring to? The Shockwave with the extra weapons that can combined into a big gun? I have that, but it doesn't really fit the Jinbao OS as it's meant for the original. Unless you mean Jinbao have their own version, which I've not seen.

    Hey guys.

I keep my Warbotron on display, after years of display, decided to play with it a bit. Somehow I kinda broke Fierce Attack. Was wondering to replace him with this Yue Xing - Decepticons Warbotron Bruticus, it said 47cm of Height.

I want to use its Fierce Attack as a replacement. Now the issue is, does anybody know if that version is the same version or its one of those oversized version? I need something like Wukong which was 1:1 last time.

If you have the space yes, you get a lot more bot for your buck and tolerances are better but like Hougangkid said, if you want to mess around with it often the regular size might be better for you, kind of depends on how big you are too! LOL.

They made an oversized set for the Jinbao too, that's why I said I had both versions, comes with the metal chain too.

From what I heard, the YueXing is 1:1 simplified KO with diecast and limited articulation.

You can maybe search the KO thread for more info:
    KO Warbotron Bruticus

Have never seen or heard of it. You have a link where you bought it from? Can't find anything online.

well picked up a diecast version locally after missing out on the og version. Felt great and had no complaints. Went to transform the individual guys today and long story short I need a new blast off. Anyone have an extra?

Ya man. Looking like it will cost me around 80 to replace. Just going to have to play the waiting game. One will turn up eventually.

Just a heads up but if you check out TF-Direct and search "WuKong" they have Blastoff for $60. WuKong is a direct KO of the Warbotron. If you really wanna play the waiting game hold off until Black Friday or December as I've seen the bots go on sale for $30. IIRC this is V1 of Blastoff and the shoulder ratchets are weak and won't hold a pose.

I just picked up an OG Warbatron for a decent price. It came pretty much assembled. I'm going to dismantle him for dusting. He's a beast for sure.

I think that set has the best looking Onslaught, in bot and alt, of all the sets I’ve seen. If you could replace MMC’s with him, it’d be the perfect set.

I love that Stunticon set, too.

After several months I could transform my Warbotron bought used few months ago ,until then I only transformed all bots in vehicle and alt modes very few times and kept Fierce Ataack in truck mode.
And at the end, creating combiner has been a true satisfaction! It took some time but everything clicked well and one thing had stopped me form creating whole figure, fear of destroying joints, instead both on arms and legs all those joints worked perfectly :D  I was happy that worst thing has passed,I could create the combiner without stress marks and is a beast, very stable ,I'm impressed, and a different approach to Bruticus but vey menacing!
Have I been lucky about joints?I had read they need oil but I've inserted them with not brute strenght,no need,so for this I didn't use it,and neither plan to rotate arms or moving hips so maybe I needn't to add oil.

It will work but the simplified ko doesn't have the locking tab slots in the combiner ports.
