Yes I know, it's just nice to see the proof in the pudding. Plus when I use those codes in any inventory trackers it doesn't work.

I saw these in person and man, they don't look great. They're smaller in person than I thought they were, and the plastic is REALLY unappealing in person. I'll wait to see non-G1 characters before I pass judgement, but Optimus and Soundwave at least look... not great.

Yeah, he's more than passable. In hindsight I may have been a bit harsh calling these dog toys, but they really aren't good IMHO and I don't see many more of these coming out. Just my opinion.

Good to know. TBH doing G1 as the opening waves was an unbelievably bad idea. IMO, they should've been a fan channel toylike with 1 G1 and two other media toys as the 1st wave.

I wish that Prime Arcee was one of the first they released given it's the only other one so far I'm most interested in(the other being G1 Soundwave due to him being my favorite character)

Same. I'm only here for SW being my favorite, then I just want to see something from another franchise. Animated would be great to see.

I can't speak for everyone, but the hate for me comes from the lazy execution, not the concept. These have no excuses looking so poorly sculpted, painted, and all out cheap. Hasbro clearly cut corners and it shows. If these were on the level of Marvel Legends, GI Joe, or Star Wars Black I'd have picked them up. But dude. They suck. I'm sorry, but they just plain suck.

These should really be $5 each. They look like dollar store items IMO

Soundwave is clearly the best of the initial three, but the lack of paint can't be ignored. Unfortunately, that hinge is very unsightly as well.

He looks like an upsized SCF figure from 2001.

The way how I see it, those might be aimed at the general action figures collectors instead of the TF collectors...

...but it's only making the competition worse for them.

Because they'll be rivaling modern Marvel Legends, 6-inch Black Series and 6-inch GIJoes, and now DC Mcfarlane's - but they aren't on the same level.

Soundwave suffered the least when it came to articulation hindrance but still looks bland.

I paid between $30 and $50 for these revoltech figures a decade or so ago. I'm perfectly fine paying $20 apiece for the R.E.D. figures. The Revoltech are tiny in comparison. 20201002_181059.jpg 20200802_223033.jpg

Picked up Megatron today. He's pretty good, I wish he was bigger and had some hand options for the right hand to change out, but otherwise a nice figure. Actually has a little bit more heft to him, too, in the legs compared to the actual transforming Megatrons, but what I like most is having an official Megatron with his traditional silhouette again (including a face sculpt that puts both Siege and Earthrise versions to shame).

Exactly. The attempt to stick to Sunbow designs is hurting them badly here, and they aren't even doing a good job of it. Every video I've seen of them there are QC issues and bad paint apps. They could have put ML or GIJoe:Classified levels of sculpting into these, but no, they totally wanted them to look like toddler toys. And play value... how can they think that it would be fun to have a rectangle eject from Soundwave's chest? And you know Megatron's mace is gonna get all droopy with that soft plastic.

This line isn't for me, and I don't wish it ill, but it's like they're not even trying. I mean how the hell do you make non-transforming Transformers that are less articulated than transforming Transformers?

The Sunbow accuracy is the best part to me. Maybe that hurts the articulation or whatever, but oh well. It's not like I'm planning on displaying them doing ninjutsu anyway so I think it's not as big of a loss as it's being painted as here.

Yeah, me too. My least favorite aspect of 'modern' toys is the addition of tech detail just for the sake of detail. It's almost always super ugly and busy for no reason, imo.

I welcome simple designs and clean lines.
