I dunno, I mean we have the First Edition, regular Prime Deluxe, Beast Hunters Deluxe Arcees... each are pretty nice, though I prefer the BH version myself (I have the Flamewar repaint). They all have plenty articulation.
In a way I wonder if RED are a hommage to Action Masters, who would be 30 years old this year. :p

Funny thing is I always saw the head as the defining feature, not the chest, spoiler, or feet. The lack of a logo on his chest is the only thing I find disappointing.

Sometimes a robot walks into your life, and you realize that's the thing you've always wanted.

I wonder if it has anything to do with him maybe being in a coded relationship with Breakdown. (note - I only just started watching so I've only seen a few episodes with him)

The only real difference between toy Galvatron and Galvatron II visually is blue vs. gray, right?

And sometimes Galvatron II was a pale grayish blue?

Yes, although I hope a hypothetical GII toy would have a very rage-y face. He always seemed mad. I would think the blue would look better, personally, on a toy, but I'll be happy with either choice (I am quite sure that puts me in the minority on the board). If it's blue, neat, if it's grey, I'll try to dye the pieces.

Marvel Galvatron was my favorite tf character for a long time. Having a proper version of this with target 2006 or wanted galvatron colors would be amazing. I'm surprised we never really got one. It's a pipe dream but I'm wondering if there's a big enough market for him.

I would prefer blue, but if it’s gray, I’ll deal with it since it’s close enough :lol

Warpath is about Prowl's size, isn't he? And Powerglide would be about Sunstreaker's size. They're all likely bigger than Bumblebee/Cliffjumper except for Wheelie and Insecticons. Who could be handled as Core class. Granted, yes, we'll likely see some figures that are smaller than Prowl. Gnaw is probably Allicon height (and bulky).

But aside from Bumper, we've probably seen the smallest deluxes in this scale and Refraktor probably is more typical of Huffer or a "small deluxe" if we're going off media scale.

Media scale is never consistent. Marvel UK never got the scales right. At least hasbro are trying now to do consistent scale across the lines. It took them only what 36 years?

    Prowl was $19.99 though....

I just think that going hard into the minibots at deluxe prices when they were always legends before AND doing it with a $3 price increase is a bit tone-deaf.

My point is that MOST of the minibots -- if we're going media scale -- aren't minibots.

Gears and Huffer are a bit taller than Bumblebee and Cliffjumper. Warpath, Powerglide, etc. are between Refraktor and Sunstreaker's heights.

We've already gotten the smallest deluxes we're going to get unless the Insecticons and Wheelie get released as Deluxes.

Most of the mini-bots would be standard Deluxe size with the shortest being Refraktor height.

I agree the $3 price hike at the same time feels tone deaf but for a handful of figures to finish a 1984 shelf, I'll certainly pay it.

Maybe what would be optimal is a size class between Core and Deluxe. But if Gears comes out and has gaps and ball joints, I'd probably be among those who'd say, "I'd have paid $23 for him to be Cliffjumper quality."

Marvel Ratchet, Megatron, and Galvatron would be quite the 3 pack . . .

I agree and disagree. The increase in price hurts and makes it harder to justify the purchase of a smaller figure. On the other hand, I like the build quality of deluxe Cliffjumper. I'm really not a big fan of the quality of figures we got most of the time in the legends price point. I prefer paying more for better looking figures, even if they are smaller then pay less for very unappealing figures. That's just me though.

Agreed. Cliffjumper is honestly a better figure than any of the legends figures

The minibots size changes depending on the episode and who they’re standing next to. And the Marvel comics had them small as well. #KeepTheMinibotsMini

    :D

Dammit Bob! The bad thing about that is that it would be $100 and I’d want at least three sets! Fortunately, Ratchet doesn’t have a history with Galvatron, so it’s unlikely...

They should do a subline like they do with the Netflix line and upcoming Headmasters line and have it be a Marvel Classics line with those characters, a comic accurate Blaster, Grimlock, Fort Max, etc. I’d be flipping broke.

I think Galvatron as one two pack and Megatron/Ratchet as another would work well.

It'd be kind of cool to see Earthrise/Siege Megs with silver shins and a black helmet. But I think Soundwave would be the standout in purple.

A part of me would prefer Marvel decos lean hard on G2 since Megatron's already got a headstart on that and many of the Marvel decos are of characters who had no G2 deco.

G2 Hot Rod would be tempting in Marvel or Fleetway G2 colors. This is the kind of thing I'd like to see from future Pulsecons.
