Scourge isn’t suppose to look like a ordinary earth vehicle. He was created from dead Decepticons by giant alien planet. Comparing him to stunticons and the like is just being obtuse. Also remember there is a 20 year into the “future” time jump between season 2 (where the focus was 90% on earth where you would see transformers turn into earth vehicles) and season 3 which is suppose to be futuristic. Scourge looks like a futuristic alien ship. So he fits.

Anyways this toy looks fantastic! Looks hefty and fun and easy to transform. Can’t wait to have these guys in hand.

Likely because when he was announced many people here suggested that he would be roughly a deluxe sized bot with large sweeping wings to account for the Voyager pricepoint.

Not really. It's flat surfaces are sloped down and the sides are tapered along their entire length. The shape is very angular outside the control testes and the underscrotum. Scourge's shape is flat and thick and rounded... like a bar of soap.:p

if it was just paying 100-200 for a figure, maybe something a hasbro person gave permission and gave it as a gift to someone that wants to sell it... thats ok imo.. but this , its the supporting thieves and known stolen goods that is gonna get tonton and pvp backlash.

Poor comparison. If you wanted to understand my point, you should be comparing a shuffleboard disk to a hockey puck. Or better yet, compare a baseball to a softball. Outside of size, the star destroyer and Scourge are virtually the same concept: a floating ship with no wings, rudders, or tailfins plus similar symetrical twin structures on the upper rear of the ship. Its not rocket science.

And I'm trying to grasp why people don't use the ignore feature for it's intended purpose. This thread is an excellent example. :)

You sure you wanna go there ? Lol

One guy on here said my comparison was wrong because the Star Destroyer was shaped like an arrow head, not a bar of soap. Ummm....

People are just mad because most of them are Star Wars fans and they never once challenged the awkward aerodynamics of Star Wars vessels but love to talk crap about Scourge's alt mode. I guess the truth hurts.

Im not targeting you in particular, but Ill say this to anyone who loves star wars vessels but criticizes Scourge's alt mode for looking stupid....yall some hypocrites.

The Generations alt mode always made me think of a tortilla chip, even though I know it's based on a real thing.

It wasn't a problem in the Unicron trilogy where you had a handful of real world vehicles hanging out with and fighting against starfighters and alien tanks the whole time.

I get that "Robots in Disguise" is a familiar part of the slogan but if we go back and look at G1, you can virtually count on fingers and toes the number of times someone was fooled by an alt mode in any one version of G1.

One of those hilariously was when somebody mistook a giant red and orange Winnebago with flame decals for Rodimus Prime because apparently his Matrix upgraded form was a mass produced Earth vehicle in-universe, down to the flame decals.

I used a bad comparison on purpose to mirror your bad comparison of two very differently designed ships.

If you can't see that aside from the very broad concept that they are both spaceships without wings, but they still have very different structures and details then there's no point in discussing it further.

Hmm... not bad especially since I skipped that god awful TR version a few years back anyway. Another Senator Ratbat retool from this mold would be okay as well.

Am I the only one that doesn't get the comparisons between ER Arcee and Scourge, and a bar of soap?

Arcee's alt mode is soft and plasticy looking, with round edges and a pale color, similar to a pink bar of soap

Scourge for similar reason, mostly just the shape though

I personally like Scourge's spacesoap mode quite a bit. It's nice and science fiction-y like Cyclonus. Can't wait to have this guy in hand
